  1. Sydney's newest theme park has been turning away visitors on Saturday after Wet'n'Wild reached capacity on the first weekend of the school holidays.

The management of the waterpark used Twitter to warn that it had been forced to put up its "Full House" sign.

After three years of construction, the $120 million water park will finally open its doors to the public on December 12.

On Wednesday, work crews and landscapers scattered the park's premises in the Western Sydney suburb of Prospect, putting the final touches ahead of the grand opening.

There's still some work to do - from gardening, waxing and cleaning of the slides, last-minute detailing and more testing of rides. But management say it's all under track.

"It's nice to see it finally coming to what we've always planned," Mr Warhurst says.

Mr Warhurst says the $120 million investment in the park will pay dividends into the state's economy and return about $500 million from jobs and taxes in its first decade.
