  1. Was at the soft opening of the park a couple of days ago... To be honest, not as impressed as I was with Motiongate's DreamWorks section. I would compare WB World to IMG worlds of adventure, except with better rides.

Unfortunately, WB World amalgamates the worst aspects of IMG and Motiongate and doesn't add much to lift itself above them. Rides were not inventive or new. For an official WB theme park, I expected more to be honest, especially given how much hype they've been making.

I have to warn people, this theme park is tiny. The props and facade of the fake buildings take up way too much space.. So much so that they don't even have space for photo ops with characters, resulting in people having to walk in front of cameras. The ceiling effect is nice with the sky, but it really makes it seem like the roof is about to fall on you.

Also, maybe they're not up yet, but there are no waiting times listed for any of the rides... If they were digital they'd be up by now. Operational efficiency is terrible. It takes people 5 minutes to get on the ride and takes them another 5 to get out of the ride. Parkas/shiela covers are provided to women as they get on the ride (not in the 5 minutes they wait for the carts). By the time they're done arguing with the ride operators because they don't want to wear the cover and then eventually wearing them, you'd have been sitting and locked in the ride for a good 5 minutes.

I go in detail with what I didn't like about the park, but when I left WB, I didn't have the same feeling as leaving DreamWorks... More work went into DreamWorks and it shows... Heck, they didn't even play the iconic Danny Elfman Batman theme in Gotham!

  3. It looks fantastic! I love the little details that there are like the phone booth. Things like this is what makes the Disney and Universal parks so good. I hope this park will break the trend of horrible attendance in the UAE (Even though Dubai Parks and Resorts are improving slightly)

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi has released a new set of photos ahead of the park's grand opening on July 25.

Gotham City is dark and eerie. Neon lights flash sporadically and the Joker smiles conspiratorially down at you from above.

On the Riddler Revolution ride, you sit facing outwards on a giant disc which whirls dizzyingly this way and that as it hurtles up on a near-vertical track and then rushes back down again. It is a full sensory experience: the Riddler chats away at you while clouds of fog blur your vision and dampen your face.

A glimpse at part the Scooby Doo: The Museum of Mysteries ride, which will have you spinning on giant teacups as you attempt to solve a spooky mystery.

Warner Bros are being very strict about photos being taken so if people do see them please share them!

I have been looking since April and there have only really been promotional photos but some of these have been uploaded overnight from yesterdays soft opening.

  9. This park soft-opened today. Surprised no one has posted about it since April...

View of WB from Yas Beach. The building is very imposing and has much more impact than neighboring Ferrari World.
