On the morning of June 26, the first truss of the steel roof structure of Chengdu Wanda Water and Snow Complex Project was hoisted, which also marked the official installation of the largest single roof system in the Chengdu Wanda Cultural Tourism City. It is expected that the entire water and snow complex roof steel structure will be fully installed by January 31 next year.

Huge Wuxi Wanda Cultural Tourism City update!

Wanda Mall is a huge indoor complex adjacent to the outdoor theme park. The mall is divided into four quadrants - shopping/dining, waterpark, snow park, and ocean park (aquarium):









Construction on the ocean park began much later into the construction of the rest of the mall so unlike the rest of Wuxi Wanda Cultural Tourism City which is opening in 2019, the ocean park will open in 2020. Today new details were announced about the dark ride, called "Undersea Carnival," which will be found in the ocean park.

"Undersea Carnival" uses a roller coaster equipped with full speed control and rotation to create high-tech audiovisual and performance elements such as theme packaging, a large number of models, multimedia images, lighting, and special effects to create a mysterious and dreamlike underwater world - Anka Kingdom. Visitors will participate in the grand Undersea Carnival with humorous and lovely marine residents and start an unforgettable journey.

Yesterday, June 2, was the grand opening of Wanda's first Rainforest Park! Wanda Rainforest Park is an indoor family entertainment center with a jungle theme. This first location is in Nanning, China in the same building as Wanda's indoor theme park which opened almost exactly one year ago on June 17, 2017.

Indoor waterpark:







Another ride coming to the outdoor theme park that has previously been posted about on this thread is an indoor ride featuring a "robotic arm that is integrated into a roller coaster platform for added thrills." The ride's name is "Havoc in the Heavens" and it will "take riders into the legend of the Monkey King and his adventures in Journey to the West."
