Some random Universal Beijing updates from this week:
1. The underground infrastructure for CityWalk was completed ahead of schedule
2. Mike Davis, Senior Vice President of International Entertainment at Universal Creative, along with Jason Ramsburg, Entertainment Director of Universal Beijing, visited the Beijing Contemporary Music School, which is just up the road from the resort, to potentially work together as part of what would be a cultural exchange and cooperation of musical talent.
3. Universal Beijing is now active on their official Weibo account (https://weibo.com/u/3937775216) and they now also have an official WeChat account - its WeChat ID is gh_e3b27d6c40ab

According to the latest local news report, much of the park's main steel structure and infrastructure will be completed this year. Most of the ride installation will take place in 2020. In addition there's an onsite nursery for foliage that will eventually be used as the park's landscaping and by May of this year the entire nursery will be operational with more than 2,600 shrubs and trees.

In a news video (embedded below) we get a great look at the construction taking place at the park especially of Hogwarts Castle/the ride building for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the footers in front are for Flight of the Hippogriff. The news video is talking about the Beijing government's urban management department working to ensure that as springtime begins construction sites including Universal Beijing are controlling the dust and dirt from blowing around etc.

Jurassic World area of the park being shown in a video
Not only is the steel structure continuing to rise on many of the park's main ride buildings but it also looks like the structure for the Jurassic World mountain has just begun to go vertical!
