    According to a new article, the coronavirus has overall not affected the construction progress on Universal Beijing Resort. All projects in the park have fully resumed and the total number of onsite construction personnel has exceeded 14,000, which is basically what the peak number of workers was prior to the virus. As shown in some of the photos of CityWalk, thousands of trees which have been growing at the onsite nursery are being planted throughout the resort.

    On February 16 the government held a press conference in Beijing to address whether or not Universal Beijing would be able to open on time due to the coronavirus. According to the Deputy Secretary of Tongzhou District Committee, Universal Beijing will be opening in May of 2021. Currently there are more than 1,300 management personnel and more than 800 construction workers on site.
