I can see Waterworld. A Waterworld stunt show in China in 2020 -- seriously?
Can we get a higher resolution and better angle of this?
Groundbreaking ceremony took place on November 5.
Source:Construction of Beijing's Universal Studios Theme Park project has kicked off in Tongzhou District on November 5. It is expected to be completed and open to the public in 2020.
Wang Tayi, Deputy General Manager of the Shouhuan Cultural and Tourism Investment Company Limited (BSH), the Chinese partner of Universal Studios on this project, says that the start of construction phase marks the project's transition from preparation to basic project construction.
The whole project - the park and resort - will cover an area of 4 square kilometers, with the initial project covering 1.59 square kilometers.
The total investment in the park is over 50 billion yuan (around 788 million US dollars). The park is expected to receive over 10 million tourists per year.

They said construction will begin on October; looks like it's on schedule. The gate and guards are new, (on the north point of the site). They didn't stop me from going in though. The diggers and a few sheds are also new.
The rest is pretty much the same. Morning glories everywhere.
Found cute river bend on the west side of the site; part of the same river I think.
