  4. This new article (in Chinese) mentions Tianjin once again as the location for the Mainland Universal Studios Park. Tianjin can be reached on a one hour high-speed train ride from Beijing.

    It would be strange if these pictures – taken in June 2014 on the proposed Universal Studios site – weren't depicting preparation for the park. The area of demolition is way too large for an ordinary property development or a mall:

    How can that be? "Demolition of existing structures and site clearing on the site has already begun" and "construction is due to start in the fourth quarter of 2014", as reported earlier below...
