The confirmed information so far is that this year's Halloween event will feature 5 haunted houses, and Hami Kuma from USJ will make an appearance at Universal Studios Beijing.
Still no official announcement.
But there are three large, flat plots of land that are being reserved for future construction. You can spot them from both Flight of the Hippogriff and the Decepticoaster. We're still waiting on an official announcement.
Rumors and guest surveys suggest the new area could be themed around Pokémon, Mario, or Doraemon.
Why is there literally almost not a single update on phase 2? It's almost halfway through 2025 and all I see are just Halloween pop-up events. I hope there's some news soon.
The photo was taken at Flight of the Hippogriff, where the steel structure of the new haunted house for 2025 has been completed. This haunted house is located to the left of the entrance to Paradise Mall in Minion Land, right next to Jack's Circus. The theme is currently unknown, but there are rumors that the theme of this haunted house is 'Haunted Piano Study.' However, it has recently been seen that USB has submitted a trademark for USJ's Hamikuma, involving various goods. It is unclear how USB will present the Hamikuma brought in from USJ, and whether the new haunted house will be related to Hamikuma?

Why are there rumors these days that Universal Studios Beijing will announce expansion plans on May 1st this year? It’s also mentioned that the expansion will involve ride attractions, rather than a new themed land. Does anyone know the truth behind these rumors?
I remember seeing this in a 2024 discussion. Tourists on a VIP tour asked the guide. They learned the Harry Potter expansion area has a reserved space for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
A few days ago, a netizen commented online. Their family member is a supplier. The supplier was already sending construction materials to Universal Beijing Resort. If there’s no official info on Beijing government websites, this information isn’t very reliable.
March 2025 Birdseye View Update: At present, the ground hardening has been completed at the sites of two brand - new haunted houses, which are awaiting construction. One known piece of information is that one of the new haunted houses may be called "The Haunted Piano Study". This information flashed by in the comments of online discussions, and its authenticity remains to be verified.
Currently, it's known that Freaky Farm may be newly upgraded on the original basis or replaced by a completely new haunted house theme. However, considering that in 2023 and 2024, the character of EMO Tu (the Demon Rabbit / the Zombie Rabbit) in Freaky Farm was widely loved by everyone, it is likely that Freaky Farm will be retained in some form. So the probability of Freaky Farm's return is only 50%.
As can be seen in the picture, Jack's Circus and House No. 81, which debuted in 2024, will be retained and will continue to operate during this year's Halloween event (Scares @ Universal 2025).
A message from X blogger Universalapex said that Universal Creative has wrapped up the construction of Epic Universe. Currently, they’ve embarked on designing new theme parks for Universal Studios locations worldwide, Universal Beijing Resort included.
Since its debut, Universal Beijing Resort has never disclosed any official expansion plans. It’s reasonable to anticipate that during its fifth anniversary celebrations in 2026, announcements regarding new themed zones, rides, and other offerings could well be on the cards.
