This was a hot topic recently on red book (小红书). Shanghai Disneyland had their first expansion (Toy Story Land) about two years after the park opened. Nothing has even been officially announced at Universal Beijing yet.
I've been an annual pass holder for two years, the park is always very busy. I'm worried that if they don't announce something soon, that people will start losing interest.

I really want to know why UBR expansion is so slow compared to other parks. Officially opened in 2021, 3 years later, still no any reliable information about next expansion! When? What's wrong with UBR? The initial plan of many years ago was to build three parks (nearly three times the current size) but now we are in the fourth year, still no official information about the next expansion project of the first park...with so much unused space in it. Could I assume there is something wrong with the financial performance so the investors' confidence is not so high? As far as I know, UBR is a joint venture between one Chinese state-owned corporation and the US counterpart company. Who's to blame? What's the reason behind this? Financial? Political? Cultural? Official announcement is one thing, implementation and construction is another, but now I am truly curious about the intangible huge obstacles of UBR future expansion.

Universal Studios Beijing is gearing up for its 2025 Spring Carnival, scheduled to run from March 21 to June 1. Among the highlights is a new collaboration with Genshin Impact, a popular game developed by miHoYo. This marks the park’s second partnership with a Chinese gaming brand, following its collaboration with Tencent’s Honor of Kings in 2022 and 2023.
However, past collaborations of this nature have not been well-received. The Honor of Kings event, in particular, garnered low ratings and criticism from visitors. Reports indicate that Universal Studios Beijing may have no plans for future partnerships with Tencent Games as a result.
Despite this, the park has decided to collaborate with the controversial Genshin Impact this time. It is expected that this collaboration will once again face significant criticism from visitors.

- **Salary:** 14,000 CNY per month

- **Gender:** Female
- **Age:** 18-30 years old
- **Height:** 158-162 cm
- **Type:** Musical theater performer (must be able to sing and act)
- **Online Audition Requirements:** Performance portfolio, audition clips, learn and sing assigned songs
- **Salary:** 16,000 CNY per month

The latest aerial photographs have revealed the most recent developments regarding the two reserved plots of land. There is a rumored new haunted house project. The groundwork for it has already been finished. In a few months' time, if the steel structure framework is erected on this site, it might potentially turn into a new haunted house.

Yes, I have also seen such rumors. It is said that there will be 5 haunted houses in the Halloween event next year, of which House No.81 and Jack's Circus will be retained, Freaky Farm will be replaced with a new theme, plus two new themed haunted houses.

Aerial photographs show that construction has started on two reserved sites for expansion. But whether it's a new theme land or a ride at the moment is unknown. There has been speculation that a boat docking point for the future lagoon show is being built at the rear of Mel’s Drive-in Restaurant.

The Fast & Furious project was canceled early in construction, but the park's vehicle displays remained, and the advertising background art and theme music were still on display and playing. Currently, this Fast & Furious reservation is being used as a warehouse. Rumor has it that Universal Studios Beijing will replicate Universal Studios Hollywood's Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift Roller Coaster to replace the previous Fast & Furious: Supercharged.

On October 24 this year, the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission introduced at a press conference that in the fourth quarter, the city will focus on boosting consumption to expand effective demand, study reform measures in key consumption areas, and accelerate the follow-up construction of the first phase of the Universal Theme Park and the planning of the second and third phases of the project.
