How come there's no updates here for so long?
URB has reopened for a few months now (I think) and packed with tourists.
A meeting of the local government last week mentioned that they are pushing the construction of Phase 2 among many other projects, without giving any details.

Universal is already planing an 2.2 square km expansion for Beijing resort, including five new hotels.
