Trans Studio Theme Park Design: Trans Studio Cibubur Design by Legacy Entertainment

During the rapid concept design phase of Trans Studio Cibubur, a number of themes and motifs were explored and considered. One idea explored early on was the concept of the entire park carrying a Science Fiction / Future theme. In the final product, this future theme is limited to one section of the park, home to the popular Pacific Rim: Shatterdome Strike dark ride, and Alien Taxi spinning roller coaster. Other elements from this scheme, including the Science Center and Indoor Sky Diving were also realized.

Dark Ride Design: Pacific Rim: Shatterdome Strike Dark Ride at Trans Studio Cibubur

Legendary Entertainment worked closely with ride designer Legacy Entertainment to expand the Pacific Rim universe for this ambitious dark ride. This included the creation of 3 new Kaijus, each with a power felt by riders (Ice, Fire, Electricity). Billed as 'the world's first immersive theater dark ride', the 20-minute experience contains multiple walk-through sections, including one midway through the ride.

The ride utilizes an Oceaneering EVO-6 Ride System, which is a scaled-down version of the system used on The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and Transformers: The Ride 3D. It is the same system used on Six Flags' Justice League: Battle for Metropolis dark ride.

Theme Park Design: Trans Studio Makassar Foam Core Study Model

This simple study model was developed by Legacy Entertainment during the Concept Design & Master Planning phase of the first Trans Studio theme park- Trans Studio Makassar. The successful indoor theme park, which debuted in 2008, was also the basis for the follow-up park, Trans Studio Bandung. Trans Studio would bring Legacy Entertainment back years later to re-imagine what a Trans Studio theme park could be when it came time to design parks for Bali and Cibubur.

  6. Trans Studio's first theme park, Trans Studio Makassar, debuted in May 2009, and set the template from which subsequent parks in Bandung, Cibubur, and Bali were created. In 2006, Trans engaged Legacy Entertainment to collaborate with them on the design of this unique indoor park. Due to the region's hot, humid, and rainy climate, the park is located entirely indoors. Upon opening, it was the world's third largest indoor theme park.

  7. Legacy Entertainment has closely collaborated with the Trans Studio team on 3 of the group's 4 boutique theme parks in Indonesia. In addition to the parks currently operating in Bali, Cibubur, and Makassar, the teams have also jointly explored other brand opportunities, including an expanded version of this concept. These theme park design concept art images explore what a flagship park might look like.

  8. Legacy Entertainment worked closely with Trans Studio's talented team of designers and producers on the theme park design of Trans Studio Cibubur, located just outside Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta. Honing in on the teen-centric program proposed by Trans Studio, Legacy helped develop the "ACTION ZONE" concept, organizing the park into theme zones relating to Adventure, Sci Fi, Illusions, along with a relaxing tropical beach district at the park's center, allowing visitors to step out of the high-octane excitement and relax for a bit while dining or taking in a live stage show.

  9. ROAD RAGE at Trans Studio Bali is one of the most ambitious and unique dark rides ever created outside a Disney or Universal theme park. Designed and produced by Legacy Entertainment in collaboration with the Trans Studio / CT Corp team, the ride mixes 3D film segments with show scenes populated by Live Performers. Another highly-unique component is the attraction's use of Escape Rooms as Preshows. Road Rage utilizes Oceaneering's EVO-6 ride vehicles- a scaled down version of the system used in Universal's Spider-Man and Transformers attractions.
