London Paramount look to put in planning application in November in order to put the project on track to open in 2022. Peninsula Management Group, who represent 140 businesses occupying land on the potential resort site, have criticised the proposals.
“We are not against London Paramount, but we have businesses here that need to be compensated. “These are family businesses, they might end having to relocate 20 miles. That would mean moving a family as well. “There are 2,700 jobs at risk, we are in the most strategically important part of the plot they require.”

The "heart" of the resort will be an indoor, covered and open-air experience that will host a couple of exhibitions and music events. Every day, during afternoons, there will be a "Paramount and Friends Carnival," where costumed people and themed rides take place.
"We are planning to follow this every evening with a spectacular show celebrating the works of Paramount Pictures and our other content partners," Paramount said in its website. During the evenings, a West End production will take place around the park where it could show Paramount films, BBC and Aardman productions and live concerts and performances

Business owners of the 3 industrial estates in Swanscombe do not find the timelines set by Paramount developers realistic...

Businesses facing upheaval from a future Paramount resort in Kent have accused developers of “fairytale thinking” for aiming to submit their planning application by November. Representatives of more than 140 companies and landowners affected by the £3.5 billion project on Swanscombe Peninsula said its bosses had “woefully underestimated” the level of work involved.
Earlier this month, the new chief executive of London Paramount said the attraction is on target to open by 2022 after pushing back the opening date three times. He said a decision by the Government on its planning application is expected by summer 2019.That was met with scepticism from business owners at Kent Kraft, Manor Way Business Park and Northfleet Industrial Estate, which will be swallowed up by the theme park should it get the go-ahead.

If everything stays on the current schedule, they say construction work can begin by 2019
The theme park will be built on the Swanscombe Peninsula near Dartford, Kent, and could bring in up to 33,000 jobs

A massive 11,000 square metre exhibition centre is planned for the centre of the park

It will feature a 2,000-seat theatre, more than 50 rides and attractions and a nightclub
It is said the park will include zones such as Adventure Isle, Land of Legends, Cartoon Circus, Starfleet Command, Action Square, Port Paramount and Entertainment City.

Information on the project team changes this week

LRCH and parent company Kuwaiti European Holding Group (KEH) have appointed Humphrey Percy, currently Group CEO KEH, as CEO of London Resort Company Holdings; Mike Morrison as CFO and Kevin Doyle as Development Consent Order (DCO) Coordinator.
“This announcement reaffirms our determination to submit our application for the Entertainment Resort. After many months of review, revision and reappraisal we have a robust business plan for building a world-class entertainment resort in the UK and are ready to push forward. We are working closely with the local authorities, landowners and local community, as well as our other stakeholders, to deliver a global destination attraction.
“I am delighted to be directly overseeing the plans for the proposed Entertainment Resort in North Kent and welcome Mike and Kevin in their new roles as CFO and DCO Coordinator, respectively. Having held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and WestLB AG, amongst others, Mike has a wealth of experience in property, business management and accounting that will be incredibly beneficial to LRCH. Kevin has worked on the project from the start, knows the team and the local area extremely well and played a key role in the delivery of some of the largest entertainment projects across the globe.

But London Paramount is having a reshuffle so hopefully this will bring new energy to the project. (See the latest news section on their website).

  9. Chinese companies could get preferential access to contracts in exchange for investments.
Chinese companies may get preferential treatment for contracts to build a £3.2 billion entertainment resort in Kent in exchange for future investment.

David Testa, chief executive of London Paramount, said Far East investors were delaying putting in cash for the theme park and hotel complex until they could discuss joining the supply chain for the project.

So far, 900 companies have registered an interest, many of them in Britain.
