  1. Official logo:

Further details on the £2billion London Paramount park in north Kent have been unveiled ahead of the first round of public consultations on the ambitious project.

And one of the senior executives behind the scheme say the meetings will bring “some of the fizz” for what it intends will ultimately become Europe’s best entertainment destination.
And in the coming weeks, the public will get the chance to finally get a peek at some of the plans.

The working logo has also been unveiled this week (pictured).

  2. Delayed, as expected.

Developers behind the planned Paramount Pictures entertainment resort on the Swanscombe Peninsula, near Dartford, said the revised opening date was Easter 2020.

Fenlon Dunphy, director at London Resort Company Holdings, said the new date was "achievable and realistic".

The company held a series of public consultation events in July, but still has to submit a planning application.

It said they were attended by more than 2,000 people and were the first stage of a year-long consultation process.

  3. Plans for the £2 billion (€2.54 billion) Paramount entertainment resort at Swanscombe, Kent, have taken a step closer after initial government approval has been granted.

  4. New name: "London Paramount Entertainment Resort"

Shaw also said that a new theme park, London Paramount Entertainment Resort, which will be linked to HS1’s Ebbsfleet station, will boost the local economy *further, creating some 27,000 jobs. The 872-acre site will open in 2018 at a cost of £2 billion.

  5. We all new that before they went on there Florida jaunt.

  6. A report into plans for a £2bn theme park that aims to rival Disneyland Paris has said there should be more investment in public transport and greater use of the River Thames.
The report was produced by Gravesham Borough Council, after members went on a £15,000 trip to US theme parks.

The plan is to use the Thames as much as possible, bringing and taking visitors to and from the Theme Park. This was mentioned at the first public consultation.

    Local Infrastructure

HI, I live within the area that Paramount Park will be built.

I'm not dismissing a theme park at all as we all know areas change etc and this is the perfect spot for something like this to be built with links to Europe via Ebbsfleet etc. However, what does concern me is the local infrastructure. There are a lot of houses being built around here and with the traffic from Bluewater, the A2 and the M25 that divert through the area especially when there is an accident or a problem at the Dartford Crossing is already causing problems for the area, in this week alone there has been 2 van fires on the M25, 2 multi car accidents on the A2 and other various incidents on top of road works that have made the area gridlocked.

How will the area cope with substantial traffic on roads that cant cope with the already extra mass of traffic. Roads are being changed to make way for housing estates but London Road is not built for so much traffic, it cant be expanded in places either as it already runs round the edges of old chalk pits.....
I hope that Paramount Park will take this into consideration, the area is changing rapidly and the local roads cant cope as it is, I wonder if Paramount would consider using the River Thames as a way to transport in building materials etc and maybe once built a ferry from London to Kent to carry visitors, it would take so many cars off the road.

  9. Can't wait for the next public consultations next month, with more defined info including the infrastructure scheme of a monorail from Ebbsfleet International Station direct to the Theme Park.

  10. Strange how the graphic and plan are totally different, the buildings in one are not in the other.
