And what? This project manager honesty is well know in the sector...would not trust what he is saying at all!
Source:The London 2012 chief who helped raise £2 billion towards the cost of the Games has been given the job of getting a “British Disneyland” project off the ground.
Chris Townsend, the commercial director at London 2012 organiser Locog, has been appointed to the same role to create a £2 billion theme park in Kent for Paramount Pictures to open by 2018. Mr Townsend this week begins talks with City investors to raise debt and equity funding for the project on an 872-acre site on the Swanscombe peninsula near Ebbsfleet.
He has been appointed by London Resort Company Holdings, a development vehicle which has signed a deal with Hollywood-based Paramount for an exclusive licence in the UK.

Source:Mr Sefton said: “As much as we are using the Paramount brand we don’t want to take a chunk of America and plonk it in north Kent. We will have major British brands throughout the park.”
The Paramount Park plans will be open to a public consultation from early next year, and if it goes ahead construction could begin in the beginning of 2015.

This is how the Paramount London idea was born, in a karaoke bar in South Korea...
...probably close, too close to another Paramount Park that never made it:

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/351993/Can-Hollywood-s-magic-turn-this-wasteland-into-a-movie-theme-park-With a neat dash of chance the planned tourist attraction owes its life to a conversation in a karaoke bar rather than a board meeting. To the strains of well-lubricated guests murdering My Way and I Will Survive, a Paramount executive wondered why Britain did not have a major branded theme park. It was a casual remark that sparked Tony Sefton into action.
“He said London was one of the best cities in the world so he asked why there was no world-class resort. I said I would get back to him,” said 44-year-old Sefton, whose Oxford-based company created a revolutionary method of analysing visitor behaviour.
“I was on a lecture tour and we were in a karaoke bar in South Korea when he asked the question that was about to change my life.”
Few people in Kent could have imagined that an astonishing windfall was heading their way. The cement works, which used to be a prime employer, had been disused for a decade and talk of financial miracles had been deadened by the relentless tread of feet through the doors of bleak Jobcentres.
“We have done a lot of planning but we are surfing on the success of the Olympics and Paralympics,” said Tony, a former fairground ride designer and project manager for Alton Towers. “The Games attracted a lot of investment and showed it can be done. People now have a new appetite to invest in London and the UK.”
Is it just me, or are we looking at the world's loooooooongest woodie snaking all over and around the entire right-hand section of the park? We can only dream...
Europe's second Paramount park.
Explaining the illustration:
Indoor Water Park at the front left, Exhibition Space at the front right, Entertainment District in the center, Paramount Theme Park (open air) surrounding the Entertainment District. This means the theme park will have a nice River Thames view from most angles.
Most of it looks indoors, however I don't think weather is that much of an issue. There are plenty of outdoor activities, shopping malls, etc within the UK.
