  4. Looks like we'll be seeing Shigeru Miyamoto touring the land tomorrow! https://x.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1855732265096978871?t=DhqL-3i2v5562cpV8zfHgA&s=19

  5. I was at the park yesterday and they were doing sound tests for the DK Coaster while it was testing - from the Harry Potter lake you could hear simulated screaming whenever an empty car went past a certain section of the circuit - same sound each time, and the cars were empty. You can see them though the trees beside Hogwarts.

Not sure if that's new or not but thought I'd mention!

  6. My wife and I have just come back from USJ, sadly (obviously) Donkey Kong Country wasn't open, they had a team member 'guarding' the covered entrance the whole time. SNW as a whole is a lovely land that's sooo immersive but as with the whole park, this place is just far too crowded. USJ as a whole was just difficult because of this, every ride had 120+ minute wait. We had a good view of DKC from our room at the Park Front Hotel and it was testing constantly.

The park desperately needs more capacity to be enjoyable because we really didn't have a good time, we tried to make a complaint and they basically were like yeah cool sorry. HHN was impossible because you couldn't move in the street so it's very sad to see DKC testing constantly with no date annouced.

Google Maps has been updated and now we have a clear satellite picture of the Donkey Kong Area.

Nintendo's six months earnings will be released on Nov. 5. Hopefully Nintendo will share with investors an opening date there, followed by an official announcement on social media. Hopefully...

Jurassic Park The Ride is closed. When it is open, the attraction provides much needed capacity, but at this point there's no word on when it will open.

The official calendar states that the attraction has been closed since September 2023! I initially heard that it was going to close for 2 years, but with one year left nobody knows if the attraction will change from Park to World. Anyone have satellite pictures of Jurassic Park (and Donkey Kong)? Google will never update the pictures for the USJ area.

And yes, Universal Studios Japan is a B grade park, and I feel like people don't know this. It's amazing how this park is getting away with so few rides and no new entertainment offerings (apart from the usual Halloween stuff that feels very cheap.)

  9. Thank you for some real commentary. I am heading to USJ for the first time next year. It real does look like a B grade park right now.
