  1. Let's wake up and smell the coffee. DPR is running at a massive loss with little real sustaibable increase in park visitors and the reality is that it will not breakeven for at least another decade. Six Flags will merely dilute total guest numbers. DPR is seen as an improved Global Village at 5 times the cost by anyone you speak with. All the experienced leaders inclusive of Raed, Mat Priddy, Tommy Jones, Brian McKnamara to name but a few were sacked to make way for a lower calibre team dragging the DPR brand down. If you want success get the team back and it will deliver. Leadership needs changing and get people in who know parks.

Hi, I just have a few questions if anyone is willing to answer

    1. Is Six Flags Dubai really going to open next year or will they push it back to 2020?
    2. What rides are planned for the park?
    3. Out of all the 27 rides at Six Flags Dubai, which 3 will be the world-record breaking ones?

Its a matter of time, things will get better, the parks are meant to develop. lets see

  5. Revenue is down this year despite the higher attendance. Occupancy is up, but hospitality is only 18% of revenue. The 5% growth in attendance is year-on-year, so the fact that July-sep is seasonally slower is not relevant.

Do you think they will do 33% attendance growth in Oct-Dec as they lap the introduction of hunger games rides late last year, and with the competing Warner Bros park now open? Hopefully you are right that attendance growth is closer to 33%, and the slowdown in the last quarter was a one-off.

The project is going to be developed over the next five years and if you think about the heat, you can find theme parks in Europe with extremely cold and snowy conditions with few visitors! It's just a matter of time for them to enhance the existing parks and the number of visitors have increased compared to last year.

  7. July-Sept is the slowest period for the park. Attendance was flat in Dubai as well. But the Lapita Hotel occupancy rose 24% during that period. Point is, in the 9 first months of the year attendance rose about 33%.

  8. Attendance steadily on the rise? It was over 45% YoY in the first half of 2018, then slowed to 5% YoY in the 3 months to September 2018.

  9. Footfall is steadily on the rise... +30% this year so far. World Expo 2020 will bring 25 million visitors to the city Vs 16 Million in 2018. This will result in increased attendance across the parks. Wait & see.

  10. Agree that the area is a ghost town...no matter the rides you bring in or the pace of development. Six Flags Dubai can't live up to true thrill park entertainment and ride experience.
There simply isn't the talent, management and number of visitors there to create and maintain a sustainable theme park.

The turn-over is incomprehensible and therefore the consistency in design and quality of experience will suffer. Many roller coaster type rides will be filled with only a handful of visitors , if that - That level of attendance cannot sustain the operating costs over the long term
