  1. A user from the towerstimes forum reportedly spoke to a Dubai Parks official working on the park.

The park is actually going to be quite small on opening, smaller than motiongate but slightly bigger than legoland and bollywood. There isn't going to be the world's tallest coaster, as it would take a large amount of park space and would ruin surrounding views. All coasters are clones except the one surrounding the entrance. A manufacturer has been decided for the entrance coaster. I'm not allowed to say which one (don't worry it's good) but it is NOT B&M and no rides from them will be present on opening. It will have a record breaking flat ride (not allowed to say which)

  2. The comment in the video is wrong though. The main contract works are still to be awarded, BAFO deadline is currently 13th November.

  3. Update video from late October.

Work is ongoing behind the scenes in the park, It is normally one of the last pieces of the jigsaw during project planning so this is good news.

Amazing vibes in our IT workshop with the Six Flags Global IT stakeholders Michael Israel and Dallan Elk in an endeavor to build a world-class theme park in Dubai

I attended Motiongate last Monday and had a fantastic day. From what I saw over at the Six Flags site it looked busy, construction was going ahead and there was a lot of activity with cranes and diggers moving around. All of the signage states an opening date of 2019.

  8. I am 100 percent sure that summer gets few visitors, I know the company very well. I have seen huge amount of booking of tickets and the hotel for up coming winter. It's normal to get few visitors in the summer.

Regarding Six Flags, they secured the budget and they are starting soon. They approved a number of rides in Six Flags. We all know who is behind this project so do not worry. Six Flags is opening in 2020.

  9. The project is on hold indefinitely like all the recent DXB projects put on hold indefinitely. In layman's language, the project is closed.

  10. Dubai Parks and Resorts laid off a large majority of their Project team yesterday and some other staff. I suspect that the original author may have a greater insight than the remainder of us. Realistically the halting or closing of the Six Flags project makes sense. DPR is running at a massive loss no matter how we wish to sugar coat it and the last thing they need is an additional park to further dilute individual park attendance. I really do think the original comment is gaining validity.
