Siam Park Gran Canaria has been in the works for many years. In recent months the government did not approve plans for the waterpark because it "did not leave evidence of the existence of water resources". Since then Ángel Víctor Torres, the president of the Canary Islands, voiced his support for the waterpark project saying that he hopes the government can give the necessary approval as soon as possible. Getting this waterpark approved has had a lot of ups and downs over the years but it seems we might be getting closer to breaking ground...
