Of this amount, 30.3 million correspond to emerging damage, another 89.9 million to lost profits , and 1.9 million are claimed as loss of opportunity.
The consequential damage includes the expenses assumed such as the purchase of the land, the expenses for drafting the El Veril Modernization Plan, the canalization works of the ravine, and the amounts for the loss of regional incentives and for the endowments that the company made to Charge the Investment Reserve. And to calculate the lost profit, which is 77.7 million for the park and 12.1 million for the hotel, the income that would have been obtained from the operation of these businesses from its opening in 2018 to 2023 is estimated.
The company expected to start the works in July 2016, once the Canarian Government had approved in December 2015 the Modernization, Improvement and Increased Competitiveness Plan in the area of El Veril to precisely guarantee the preferential and urgent processing of these investments in all their procedures before any administration.
