It is said that the project has slowed down. Also, there is a rumor that GGE has been removed from the project. I was looking forward to this project. It was supposed to be another big piece of work from GGE. But I heard that GGE is working on another theme park project in China, the Evergrande Fairytale world.

New high resolution layout of Chimelong Qingyuan Forest Resort

A few attractions can clearly be identified in the layout including a 5D theater, a kiddie roller coaster, a central body of water for shows, a tiger-themed river rapids (fun fact: originally Disney's Animal Kingdom's river rapids was going to be tiger-themed), and a hippopotamus-themed log flume/splashdown-type ride. I am not able to spot the previously announced signature giraffe castle, world's largest aviary, and hilltop observation wheel. Can anyone spot any of those?

As of March 2018, land has been completely cleared for the four resorts that can be seen in the top right of the layout. The two resorts located along the animals exhibits are currently under construction. Little to no land clearing has taken place so far for the theme park itself.

Note the waterpark layout pictured below and in the top right of the main layout. I spot about 10 waterslides, a large lazy river, two wave pools, and an aqua coaster.

New satellite imagery from earlier this month shows that construction is progressing but very slowly.

Also new concept art for the theme park's huge giraffe castle and nearby zebra-themed hotel has been released:
