With Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park's "trial operations" set to begin in just hours from now, let's take a look at excellent, brand new aerial photos of the park:

The first photo in this post shows that temporary fencing has been placed in the park to keep guests within a certain area. It can be assumed that at least some of the attractions in the area that is open to guests will be operational. These attractions include the seal/sea lion exhibit and potentially the dome theater, penguin exhibit and conservation/science center.

It is unclear if either of the park's two bridges that cross the creek will be open to guests yet.

Though the Skyway and Steel Dolphin coaster have both been seen testing it is unknown when either will be ready for guests. The entrances/load stations to both rides appear to still be under construction.

For buildings where the exterior is mainly completed, such as the dark ride and Coral & Jellyfish Pavilion buildings, it is unknown whether or not the interior is completed and it is unknown if the areas of the park that those attractions are located in will even be open to guests yet.

Brand new on the ground photos ahead of the park's soft opening which is in less than three days!

This photo was taken from one of the park's main pathways - to the right is the dark ride and straight ahead is the park's signature volcano, home to Rainbow Caverns, a large indoor whale shark exhibit.

Nearby is the Sand Castle Restaurant

Early concept art for the restaurant shows a more colorful exterior:

Across the creek on the side of the park is the polar-themed area

One of the animal exhibits in this area is the outdoor seal/sea lion exhibit:

The purpose of this building is not entirely clear - it's either the penguin exhibit, conservation center, dome show, or a combination of these attractions:

It's time for one of Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park's biggest updates yet! All this aerial imagery is from September 9, 2018 and as higher resolution versions of these images become available this post will be updated.

The Steel Dolphin launch roller coaster by Intamin is intertwined through the park - other areas to note in this image are the outdoor dolphin exhibit which is connected to the indoor stadium, and the Gold Coast kiddie ride area which is located between the Sand Castle Restaurant and Steel Dolphin

Foreground shows offices for the park and behind that is dolphin show/exhibit and beyond that is the rest of the Rainbow Falls area including the dark ride, animal exhibits, Rainbow Falls river rapids, and much more

Killer Whale Theater - one of the park's flagship attractions

The park's most recognizable restaurant - the Sand Castle Restaurant

This large building is home to the park's dark ride and surrounding the building is Fire Falls river rapids

Steel Dolphin passes over the park's central creek twice and is the first attraction guests will see once passing through the entrance plaza

Overview of the east side of the park which is themed to a tropical environment and is located next to the on-site hotel

Overview of the west side of the park which is themed to a polar environment and is located next to the parking garage

The park's arctic-themed mountain contains the Alpine Express train ride, polar animal exhibits and the west Skyway station

The park's on-site hotel is meant to resemble a cruise ship

    The park's seal/sea lion exhibit

    Dolphin show stadium

Beneath the park's volcano is Rainbow Caverns - a whale shark exhibit
