Would be interesting to know the time when the bookings open on 28th, I agree
For the roundabout I think it is a water feature, if you look to the latest aerials

Does anyone have the inside scoop as the time that everything will go on sale on the 28th? I've tried the Live Chat and have gotten nowhere.
These things won't bother me too much. One can't expect to look out of the window of a Disney hotel and see *only* Disney things. If I see a modern car driving down a road then my fantasy would already have been spoiled. And anything has to be better than the stuff you can see out of your hotel window at Disneyland Anaheim, given SDR's comparatively more remote location (at least for now).
I also think the green carpeted area doesn't look too bad and may even be intentional (although I admit it doesn't appear on the official maps).
Regarding the roundabout, here's the appropriate segment of the 15-Nov-15 aerial:
To me, it doesn't look like water - just maybe a blue cover or something like that. But I would be quite prepared - and happy - to be wrong!!
Not the greatest quality photo but a new view of the Castle.

Some more cyclists tried to get onto site yesterday but were denied by security. Still got to see the Castle though and take this photo. The Castle look massive even from outside the site.

As I look into the aerial photo above there are 3 things I hope they change before opening and 1 thing I have not noticed until now:
First if you look at the round-about under the transportation hub, it seems to me that the blue circle will be filled with water and maybe a nice fountain play. What do you think? It looks like a big big pool to me.
The other three areas marked - I hope they are removed before the opening.
I know these buildings near the entrance and over toy story hotel are some sort of construction facilities, but they look very solid in build if you compare with other pictures. I really hope they remove them, because I have the feeling they are really disturbing the view/atmosphere for visitors once the park opens. The buildings at the entrance are really too near in my opinion, and more badly the buildings at Toy Story Hotel... imagine if you get a room with a view facing directly in that direction.
The green sort of floor that currently runs between Disneytown and Disneytown- Lakeshore District is ugly... but I think this is only temporary for some construction reasons and will be removed once completed.
What are your thoughts?
The Beijing Times is reporting that Shanghai Disneyland is estimated to bring in revenue of 24 billion RMB ($3.65 billion) per year. This seems to be made up of ticket sales (4 billion) and merchandise sales (20 billion). So I'm guessing the hotel revenue would be counted separately.

Not clear on what this amounts to in terms of actual profits and most notably when they can recoup their $5.5bln initial investment...

Strange how Minnie's Sweetheart Confectionery looks totally different (particularly the colour scheme) from the concept art, which is still featured on the SDR website...
