Disney China official announced that Shanghai Disney Resort will be expanded.

Two recent reports of large expansions planned:

Disney and more is reporting on potential plans to bring Pandora: The World of Avatar to Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai Disneyland executives are highly considering an Avatar land for SDL and to place Pandora behind the Adventure Isle land. They came to Disney's Animal Kingdom a bit more than 10 months ago to have a tour of Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom but they plan to build only at SDL Pandora "Flight of Passage" and a different version of a smaller kid ride. The reason why they wouldn't build the "Navi' River Journey" boat ride is because they already have two water rides right next to each other. They also said they could look into more interactive plants that were originally planned for Pandora at DAK and not added for budget reasons. It was confirmed by a close friend of mine, who was sent to open Shanghai Disneyland, that there were talks as early as 2015 to plan works on a Pandora land coming to SDL.

Orlando Theme Park News is reporting on potential plans to bring a Zootopia-themed land to Shanghai Disneyland

An all-new Zootopia-themed land might be coming to Shanghai Disneyland Resort in the near future. While Disney has not released any details about this new addition yet (it has not been officially announced yet), the team working on this exciting project aims to deliver an exciting land that highlights the diverse ecosystems of Zootopia.

Yesterday Toy Story Land's new quick service eatery, Toy Box Café, opened ahead of the rest of the land's opening in April. This eatery existed when Shanghai Disneyland opened but had a different name, theme and menu.
