Pretty sure the "rare species of spider being discovered" has been given as the reason for delay at least 4 times since 2013...

A new article about the sustainability efforts of the London Resort. There is another PR article doing the round at the moment about the economic benefits to the local area and lifting people out of poverty in the surrounding areas.

They really do want to talk about everything other than the theme park don't they?

Some projects go above and beyond in this regard, showcasing the ability of human ingenuity to develop innovative projects that can still focus on sustainability goals. Such is the case with the new London-based themed resort being developed by Abdulla Al Humaidi. The Kuwaiti European Holding CEO has made sustainability such a focus of his work that it has drawn widespread praise from interested parties around the world.
While the above overview amounts to just a small look at the positive impact the new resort will have on the environment and local community, it begins to provide a picture of how it is breaking new ground when it comes to sustainability. In pursuing this course of action for his new development, Abdulla Al Humaidi is not only making a meaningful contribution towards alleviating these concerns, but he is also helping to further the global conversation on responsible development.
In the case of the London resort, one way this has been accomplished has been through the creation of numerous green spaces connected to the site's overall design. These green spaces will be accessible by the public and will allow for a pleasing place to step away from some of the urban elements of the city and find a greater sense of peace and quiet. The green spaces will allow community members to engage in recreation, relaxation, and increased appreciation of the area surrounding their residences and gain greater access to the new development and the existing amenities present in the area.

For over a year, Jamestown business leaders have been smitten with the idea of building an amusement park along Interstate 94 to accompany the existing National Buffalo Museum and attract tourists to a region without many major draws.

The proposed Buffalo City Park would feature bison-themed rides, attractions and entertainment venues, according to previous reporting by the Jamestown Sun. The prospect of building on publicly owned land and receiving financial backing from the state has a herd of local developers ready to run with the plan.
Supporters of putting state funds toward the project, many of them Jamestown-area lawmakers like Montpelier Republican Rep. Craig Headland, said the park along the busy thoroughfare would be a "tourism gateway." A theme park design company estimated a few months ago that more than 200,000 people would visit the park in the year after it opened, though legislators opposed to the plan characterized the projection as overly optimistic. The company's report also says the park could open up in 2024 and earn $2.3 million in first-year profits.

The $5 million allotment from the state would come only after the project meets a series of benchmarks, giving taxpayers cover if the park never materializes, proponents say.

The park promoters would first have to secure a $60 million loan from the State Investment Board to build the facility. At that stage, money managers and financial experts would have to be convinced the project is a sound investment of public dollars.

There has been no mention of Quarter 2 for a while now, they have definitely pushed back to the end of the year.

Some more interesting points about the new M&M Runaway Railway building...

Looking at a photo of M&M's RR at Disneyland, and spotted some new fireworks racks on the roof (I expected Disney to retire the big firework shows). The building's intrusive height will be disguised with 2D rolling hills, just like Small World and the last building that was here.
I would also like to note the placement of the firework racks. The previous racks were directly behind the back wall of Toontown, these are located over a hundred feet further from Toontown. There's a possibility this makes it safer for Toontown to remain open during fireworks!
