SEVEN AWARDS JEDDAH OBHUR ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX DEAL
Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven) has awarded an estimated $147m construction contract for the development of the Jeddah Obhur entertainment complex. Indian contractor Shapoorji Pallonji won the contract. The contract was signed in May and the construction work started in early June. The early works on the project began in June 2022, with the local contractor Advanced Construction Company executing the site preparation and excavation works. US-based Parsons is the project management consultant and the local Saudi Diyar Consultants is the supervision and design consultant. Seven was expected to award the main construction contract for the Jeddah Obhur entertainment complex in May. The Jeddah Obhur complex is one of three planned entertainment complexes in Jeddah by Seven. The other two complexes are Jeddah South and Jeddah Sanabel. In March, Seven had awarded Egyptian contractor Hassan Allam Holding the contract to build its planned entertainment complex in Al-Kharj. The development will cover about 160,000 square metres and is located in the Al-Khuzama area of Al-Kharj. Seven plans to invest $13.3bn in developing 21 integrated entertainment destinations in 14 cities in the kingdom as Riyadh pursues its strategy to move away from hydrocarbons, create jobs and improve the quality of life for citizens and residents. Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has awarded local contractor Abdul Mohsen al-Tamimi Partner Group a contract for the early works on the Qiddiya Coast project, located north of Jeddah.

The contract is valued at about SR1bn ($266m).
