Google Earth’s images of the Aichi area and, by extension, the Ghibli Park have recently been updated and, while the images are definitely a little behind, it gives us a good look at phase 2 of the park.

A progress photo has been shown of the Cat bus play area inside the Ghibli Warehouse

The Ghibli Twitter account said this about the picture:

“In the picture we see the new cat bus in production process that appeared in the hall that will exhibit it in the GHIBLI Park.
Children can get in, climb and play (quietly).”

That video shows a view of the expansion from the opposite side of Tokyo Disneyland but I’m curious, how does it look from inside the park? Can the North Mountain be seen behind the Beast’s castle?

I don’t know what I want more, this theatre attraction or the Mack Rides spinning coaster that’s rumoured to be in its place. Honestly, I’d love a show like this in the park.

This park sadly closed in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic and, in 2021, it was announced to be getting a rebrand into Columbia Pictures Aquaverse

I’m assuming that the ride being called Voltron is a pure coincidence and it has no relation to the famous Japanese anime series of the same name

It’s interesting that they use a render of a velociraptor from Jurassic World because the original Dinotopia books are about a society where humans and dinosaurs live together in peace so an aggressive dinosaur doesn’t really fit in context.

It’s in the location of Haunting of Hill House. There are rumours that that location might be for a maze based on the Fear Street trilogy.

Does anyone have any idea when the second phase, featuring the e-ticket attraction, might happen or is that another project that’s indefinitely delayed/cancelled?

I guess we’ll probably find out at D23.

I’m pretty sure that Paramount’s involvement at this point would just be licensing their IP for a few rides and that’s about it.

Yellow and brown rollercoaster track has been seen in Utah. It’s possible that this could be for the Epic Universe version of the Donkey Kong minecart ride
