Disneyland Paris resumed it's direct train service from London today using Eurostar. Up until today travelers from London had to disembark in Paris and take local train services to the resort.

There are still permits being filed for works on the site but noone knows if they are just being filed because they provide long term permission or if work will still go ahead. Most people inside the business seem to think that infrastructure work will go ahead still and decisions then made on whether to proceed with the build.

There have been 19 permits filed with the county for the Epic Universe site in the last two weeks, including many for buildings in the central hub, park entry area, and Universal Monsters land. Additional permits for backstage areas and the in-park hotel have been posted as well.

Construction on Tron Lightcycle at Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom is still continuing.

Construction on the upcoming new TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction at the Magic Kingdom has steadily continued since the park reopened. We raced to the queue of The Barnstormer to get a view of the latest construction updates. It seems like each time we visit, more and more is completed with this build.

Just some more detail on the images posted previously by Michael.

Infrastructure work, land grading, and more has continued in the months since. The ground has been dug up and utility pipes have been placed and buried. The parking lots have been poured for the backstage areas, which is also where temporary trailers are expected to be placed during construction. They’ve even added an on-site concrete plant in preparation of pouring foundations when they’re ready.
Another project that will most likely continue, despite any slowdowns for the theme park construction itself, is the Kirkman Road extension. This road is planned to be expanded so it can connect from the existing Universal Orlando Resort to the new southern resort nearly two miles south. This would not only help bring guests back and forth between the two resorts, utilizing planned dedicated bus lanes, but would also help alleviate traffic congestion in the area in general. Universal and the county are splitting the cost of the expansion, with Universal spending at least 164 million dollars themselves.

One Day at Disney on Disney+ has a new episode (Episode 33) where you can see inside the construction of Ratatouille at EPCOT. The filming is probably dated around May 2019 but it's the first time we have seen inside the construction.

Another huge element of the ride is this projection screen. Although attractions such as Soarin’ Around the World utilize large-scale screens like this, it is rare we get to see them up-close and switched off like we do here. The screen is domed, and the attraction will enable the trackless vehicles to steer close to the projected action for a truly immersive experience

    Fantawild Mianyang is now open.

It is reported that after the opening of the Mianyang Fangte Oriental Art Painting Park, the "one-ticket system" will be charged, and all themed amusement items in the park will no longer be charged separately after purchasing tickets. The standard ticket is 280 yuan per person. Children between 1.1-1.4 meters in height and the elderly over 65 can enjoy a discounted fare of 199 yuan. Children under 1.1 meters in height can enter the park free of charge.

After the opening of the Mianyang Fantawild Oriental Painting Park, it will rely on Mianyang’s cultural tourism resources and superior geographical location to become an important carrier for Mianyang’s construction of an international national-level Li Bai cultural sacred site and a hub cultural tourism base in Sichuan Province.

Futuroscope in France has announced plans for a €304m transformation, with three major new attractions by 2025 followed by two themed hotels and an indoor water park.

Vienne Department Council has selected the ambitious project submitted by the teams of the Société Anonyme du Parc de Futuroscope (SAPF), a company in which Compagnie des Alpes has a controlling interest and which currently operates the Futuroscope theme park, for the implementation of a new 30-year lease.

Next to the current theme park, the so-called Futuroscope 2 project integrates two themed hotels and Aquascope, an indoor water park, completing the experience offered by Futuroscope to its guests. Investments totalling €104m will be carried out by a new company, Futur Resort, jointly held by SEM Patrimoniale de la Vienne and Banque des Territoires. SAPF will ensure the delegated project management for this new area and later for its operation under the terms of a new lease, also for 30 years (to 2050).

Dutch chocolate company Tony’s Chocolonely has joined forces with architecture firm SeARCH to create a unique choccy-themed attraction.
It’s estimated the ‘chocolate circus’ will take three years to build and will cost an eye-watering $105 million (£84.5 million) in total. While a precise date for the opening hasn’t been revealed, it’s unlikely guests will be able to step inside the attraction before 2024.

This video was posted on June 4th but I think it's from the early opening. It shows a lot of the mall area and a walk through of the whole park. I also don't remember seeing the actual park entrance full castle facade before within the mall so thought it was interesting.

Looks like Moscow may be lifting its lockdown restrictions soon.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a staunch Putin loyalist, all but declared victory over COVID-19 on the city's news channel Monday. Moscow's lockdown rules will gradually be lifted over the coming two weeks, he said.

The news story about a "UK Disneyland" is doing the rounds again with the British newspapers. Think this got started with the most recent news about further planning applications but it's all over news sites and social media again.

I know people say there's no such thing as bad news but you would think someone at The London Resort would try to manage these. They don't accurately portray the project at all.

Same story as previously with headline using the Disney brand and the same old concept art. Here's a selection of the sites hosting this "news"...

One of the designers behind the Zootopia City Crest shown in the construction photos has shared some of the inspiration for the design on Twitter, I found it really interesting. There's a whole thread but I've pulled out some of the comments below.

The pawprint and hoofprint are that of Thule elk, a California species, and the critically endangered Amur tiger, a Chinese species. While it was important for me to represent diverse and endangered animals, there is significance in the specific species chosen. The inclusion of these two animals also represent the working relationship between our Shanghai Imagineering team and those of us working from California
The tree at the center of the watering hole represents a communal gathering for mammals from all walks of life in Zootopia. This, of course, also parallels nature. Our Disney Parks are also gathering places for people from all over the world to experience happiness together
