This is not a Castle Park; they are all Bob's IP World, and anything goes.

The theming on this water park looks way better than Six Flags next door.

The best part of this is that the population in the area is small. I expect visitor numbers to be similar to HKDL, maybe less, and that is a good thing in terms of ride queue wait - no one wants to be in line for 120 minutes. My only hope is that it's a quintessential Disneyland, not Bob's IP World.
Less Star Wars and Marvel, more Mystic Manor and Exhibition Everest.

I dont know if I want to watch it or wait a few years to ride it without knowing what to expect.

Is this really going to be ready in 2025? Frozen in DLP looks way ahead in construction and that is scheduled for 2026.

Some of the work they are doing here is way way better than anything Six Flags has ever done. This is Universal Studios level of theming.

There's a lot of room for expansion for Pixar Land, especially if you get rid of Catastrophe Canyon, which is embarrassingly bad. There is also an unused building next to Ratatouille and an Aladin Spinning ride which is defunct. They could bring in both those new Coco and Monsters Inc's ride (I'm fine with a clone) and suddenly, you have the look of a real park after 20 years of mediocrity.

Frozen appears to just have a Frozen Ever After dark ride clone. It is crying out for something like Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs (but make it much much longer than the HKDL effort).

All that time and money spent and it appears it will include just one dark ride, which I bet will be a carbon copy of HKDL

But I bet it has six merchandise shops!

Great post. This puts Epcot's Parisian theming for Ratatouille into perspective.

I haven't seen anything I have not been impressed with when it comes to Epic Universe. There's no reason to think the rides won't match the incredible theming.

Have they ever lost money? Let's see what their attendance will be in 2025/26 and then look at their profits. The Japanese spend so much money at these parks and the only complaint is there are too many people. They could create two more Fantasy Springs and it would still be overcrowded.

Imagine having all the skills, imagineers and engineers to produce stuff like this at all your theme parks, but you choose not to because the cost do not fit into an arbitrary budget, even though the ROI is guaranteed....

On the other hand, the same Disney suits were fine giving Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny a $387M budget...

I like it. Although it doesn't appear like it has the 4D elements as Spiderman (which set the bar 20 years ago), it looks quite charming and fun, and I'm glad OLC stuck to the original characters and were not entertained by Disney's awful Peter Pan and Wendy version.

I thought the HKD version was a bit weak. This, as expected with all things Japan, is much better. Look forward to the full HD video.

I find these interactive shooter games lame, and a bit of a gimmick.

You know what would be an amazing attraction? a go-kart ride based on Sugar Rush! I don't know why Go Kart rides are taboo at theme parks, they don't need to go fast to be thrilling.

Knock down Star Tours while they're at it. It's past its expiration date by at least 20 years.

Disney Springs is everything the fans want Disneyland to be. Sadly, this level is only achieved in Japan. Unsurprisingly, Japan is the only Disney Resort where decisions are not made by Disney HQ.

An aerial video would be something of great interest. The guy driving past on the monorail filming the back end of an attraction you cannot see is not worth an update, IMO.

These videos are next to useless. Nothing new, same route, the videos all look the same and are in Japanese.

My initial impression of the lands was that they seemed quite small with only a few attractions. How wrong was I? It feels like you could spend four or five hours in this land alone. Comcast should buy Disney and bring the parks to this level.

I agree - it is so underwhelming. It looks like something from a Six Flags park, where there was free space in the center but too small for a ride, and one of the accounting staff asked if they could handle the landscaping - "Yea, why not?"

Looks quite good, but I still think they used too many visual screens and non-interactive models. Animitrocics are so good now, especially with facial movements, that I think Disney should be at the forefront instead of cheapening out on low-budget screens.

IMO Spiderman is still the best 4D motion simulator ride, even after 25 years.
