There is a proposal that 2000 construction workers could live on cruise ships on the opposite of the River Thames.
London Resort bosses are considering plans to hire two vessels, which would be docked in the River Thames at Tilbury in Essex, to accommodate workers during the six-year build of the £2.5bn park on the Swanscombe Peninsula.Source: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/gravesend/news/cruise-ship-plan-to-house-2-5bn-theme-park-workforce-243241/It is proposed accommodation would be provided at market rates and would help "mitigate negative impacts on the local constrained accommodation market".
Workers would then be ferried between the ships across the Thames to the construction site before and after shifts. But while it would provide "huge relief", resort bosses concede the "potentially unsightly nature" of the ships which would also reduce the knock-on local economic benefits due to "activity being contained on board".

There is a patent Disney filed called, "portable peppers ghost effect". I immediately thought that this technology will be used in spider man web slingers.
The ride vehicle has a screen in front so the peppers ghost effect would be used to simulate the webs you are shooting.
The vehicle may be any one of a car, a bus, a train, an airplane, a boat, or the like in which a passenger is afforded a window to look outside the vehicle. An Augmented Reality Enterainment System (ARES) is provided to the passenger as a viewer, to augment the scene visible outside of the window. The ARES employs a projector and a reflector to display imaged to the viewer overlaid over the visible scene on the window.

Mine was from PY Gerbeau and it said he thanks us for attending the consultation, like they said nothing we haven't already heard.
I agree LRCH are being very quiet about the park.
I believe this is for two reasons:
They are still in deals with BBC, ITV, Paramount, and as some people think, Universal.
Or the plan was to never build a park and to just build up some hype so the public accepts it, then ditch the park and become a leisure facility!
Hopefully we can get some vague details about the actual rides soon.
Finally! We have some news on the water park! I think it’s interesting how they will link the pools together although I think they are just going modern with no specific theme, shame we heard nothing about the actual park but I guess that isn’t the most important infrastructure!
The Distinguished Jumping Spider has nearly stopped the resort in its tracks! Many news articles are reporting that the land that LRCH will be using might turn into a land of specific scientific interest! This means that The London Resort could be gone.
The company that have proposed this project include the phrase ”with the first flying theatre in the UK” this is very misleading, I thought LEGOLAND Windsor was getting the first one?
Does anyone know why big companies like Universal and Disney are moving into the Chinese market recently (HKDL, SHDL and now USB)?
After all of the rumors around a Mandalorian retheme to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge do you think that the plans for a Star Wars-themed land at DLP will change or be slightly adjusted?
They actually did inspect and have provided an environmental assessment report
Is this park a family park or a kiddy park? The Hello Kitty franchise is usually aimed at a younger audience
Building on the ‘uk disneyland’ topic: it is not just LRCH that refer to the plans as the uks answer to Disneyland it’s everywhere in the news, if you simply search up: the London resort, most of the titles will be uk Disneyland or the uks answer to Disneyland and this is Extremely misleading as my freinds actually thought it was Disney that had proposed the plans and that they were very certain. I think that they should stop comparing it to Disneyland Paris as it’s similar very slightly but no similar enough to compare them both!
Ardman Animations actually pulled out the project now it’s just BBC, ITV and Paramount.
The DCO has been handed in to the UK government today, hopefully the plans will be approved! The government will decide on the adequacy of this project and at the end of a 28 day period we will here our news, of the plan gets rejected than I can expect that the London resort (LRCH) will probably stop and we will not here much from them from then. How ever if the plans are approved than we can expect more in depth details released around summer 2021 and a proper master plan released to the public by 2022.
This has been a long process nearly a decade so it would be great for everyone who has been tugging along for the whole journey to see this project reach the light at the end of the tunnel!
I also agree with comparing the resort with Disneyland Paris as Disneyland Paris is completely different.
Firstly the budget is nothing like Disneyland Paris.
Secondly the IP - Paramount owns little to nothing in popular IP and
Thirdly - quality!
The team of the London resort are all financial based people and all of their rides will be imagined by outside companies such as legacy entertainment, I am sick of this company saying they are making a theme park. To be honest it’s more likely that it will end up like a blank shopping centre or small un-themed amusement park.
And finally to add on to the long list of negatives it simply has no financial backing, Disney has plenty but what does the resort have? Investors from a totally different country! Nether the less it would be brilliant to see this go ahead but what is there to actually talk about? There has been no public releases or proper progress for months even years other than some ever changing concept art!
I would also agree as there has been little to no progress on the actual park itself, only detailed descriptions of the hotels and facilities, to be honest the only person with experience in the theme park genre is PY Gerbeau however he is still a business man rather than an attractions person.
This project has been trudging along slowly and I thought it was finally picking up ground but in my opinion it’s just a money making exercise for people to invest in not knowing what they are really buying
Cars Route 66!
Disney land Paris has recently announced a full castle refurbishment ready by the parks 30th anniversary before 2022 also Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast has recently been refurbished. This will also mean that it is likely that there will be a night time spectacular!
The land seems very small, I wonder how they will manage the crowds?
LEGOLAND Windsor has released an opening date (spring 2021) for the new land LEGO Mythica, it will include a flying theatre and two drop rides.
