No reason they can't come up with a new Star Wars ride for Paris though.
Thanks for translating. I do think talk of Galaxy’s Edge as a flop are a bit premature. I think most were waiting for Rise of the Resistance to be completed before visiting and then COVID hit. Once theme parks are operating normally again I expect attendance to be up in the parks with Galaxy’s Edge.
Rise though clearly has massive problems and I don't expect to see it built anywhere else.
I hope there’s another significant set piece on the cars tram tour to go alongside catastrophe canyon however I suspect it will just be a random placing of cars characters around the route.
Also I imagine the Route 66 tour is going to be pretty isolated for quite some time in that section of the park.
Whilst I agree with a lot of what you are saying and I’m very sceptical that a theme park will ever get built there I have to point out that Paramount isn’t the only IP signed on for the park. The have deals with BBC, ITV and Aardman. Not exactly anything I’m frilled about but it’s worth noting.
My main concern is that very little is known about the financial backers of the park. It appears to just be Middle East investors rather than a single company with substantial investment.
My guess is that the first phase will be a train station, hotels, apartments and leisure. Then the Theme Park will never happen.
I hope I’m wrong.
What’s happened to the last post that had the new concept art on it?
Trying not to be a negative nanny again but I’ve done some digging on the Paramount parks announced for China and Korea. Firstly does anyone know if the same people are involved at all three parks? The concept art is remarkably similar.
Secondly construction work has started in Korea but only on the accommodation, arena and some leisure facilities. The theme park is not expected to start yet for at least a year and a half. I can’t help but wonder if the same will happen in the UK one and then the theme park will not materialise as funds will dry up.
Great to see the progress. Such a shame Paris is so far behind though.
