Last round of images from August 1, 2012 are here. These are taken from the line of The Simpsons Ride and show parts of the Lagoon construction area as well as the former Jaws area. Not much movement today by the Lagoon and not much to see in the Jaws area but dirt and more dirt along with dirt being dug up. I did notice that the building (warehouse?) you can see between the Lisa and Grandpa Simpson flag (third image) looks like it is missing most of its garage loading dock doors. I wonder if that means that building will be coming down to make more room for the attraction? Only time will tell unless anyone knows better...:

Updates from August 01, 2012. Soundstage 44 Area was busy still after the rain calmed down. Same sort of action as yesterday, although saw them putting in a lot more "track" into the area. Once again, I have no idea what these pieces of metal are, they just somewhat look like small pieces of track to me:




The area that was Jaws had a lot more action today than yesterday, although it's way too early in the construction to see anything. Basically the pit got a lot deeper as the piles of dirt got a lot taller. Definitely feeds into the rumor that this will be a heavily underground ride though:

Last image from July 31, 2012. Sound Stage 44 area. Taken from after sunset so a dark picture. The foundations which were laid earlier were being surveyed for size and a section of gate was propped open for a few minutes. Many nosy people like myself popped their camera in to take pictures, and hopefully better ones will surface online.

Here's some action at Sound Stage 44 on July 31, 2012. Taken from the Monster Cafe seating area, RockIt roller coaster in the background, I saw the crane lift this and move it and put it down. Is it a piece of track?

Here's more of Soundstage 44 from July 31, 2012. Construction workers laying down some pipes. Again, no idea, just random pictures through the spaces between the fence segments. Same area of the construction site with slightly different angles taken about 10 minutes apart. If you have anyone with construction expertise maybe they know what to make of the materials but I sure don't.

July 31, 2012. On to the good stuff. Soundstage area 44. A lot of action happening today. Here's the base of the crane through a crack in the fence. Cement to be poured and flammable material in a tank? Maybe one of you have some more expertise to look into the numbers 1993 and 3 on the red diamond warning label. I kind of hoped this means there will be an attraction with fire and they are laying the flame-supplying system but I doubt they would put something that obvious out for people to see...

Lagoon area July 31, 2012. This is a shot taken from across the lagoon. Noticed the "Oscar's" sign isn't in earlier pictures. I thought the "Oscar's" sign meant the project would be a seafood restaurant, but now I realize it is most likely an Amity artifact. Still sending it anyways in case you think otherwise.
