Do you know if there is any way to book on a computer using Alitrip? Because you said before the Alitrip app, but it's in Chinese and you can't use Google Translate within an app!
I'm still showing nothing available on the Alitrip URLs
https://hotel.alitrip.com/hotel_detail2.htm?shid=51425002
https://hotel.alitrip.com/hotel_detail2.htm?shid=51426001
And that's for hotels. For park tickets, the problem is even worse....can't even get to the "order awaiting payment" screen.
When you press the green button, you get an error:
"我们目前无法处理您的请求,请稍后重试。"
which means
"We are unable to process your request. Please try again later."
And once it even didn't do that, but just took me back to the homepage of the website!!
Now I got "someone ate the page"! Which would be funny if it wasn't so.......frustrating!!
I tried it but got Internal Server Error
Now if you try to make a hotel booking on the official website in English, it redirects you to a page all in Chinese.....argh!!
I don't see that....what URL are you using?
I'm looking at:

It's worth noting that hotel reservations can also be made through Alitrip. Here are the URLs:Q: How can guests make reservations for Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and/or Toy Story Hotel, at Shanghai Disney Resort?

Toy Story Hotel: https://hotel.alitrip.com/hotel_detail2.htm?shid=51426001
There still seems to be no pricing information on these web pages...at least for now.
It's in the post shared before
As far as I know, this is also new information which was not known before today.Q: Where can I find the hours of operation for the date I am visiting?
For 06/16 Grand Opening day, Shanghai Disneyland park will start operation at 12:00 pm and close at 10:00 pm.
Guests may refer to the Shanghai Disney Resort official website for the park hours on future dates.
I visited there in 2014 and here are a few photos I took of the signs, slides and ropes course.
PS: In the background behind the ropes course you can quite clearly see the hotel balconies, which face out towards the water park.
PPS: The guy on the ropes course is me
Shanghai Disney Resort posted an update to their official WeChat account a couple of hours ago, saying that tickets will go on sale on 28th March at 00:01. I think it's safe to say that is 00:01 CST, so that will be 27th March for those of us based in the Western countries.
My Chinese is not great but using Google Translate, I couldn't find anything about hotels in the post - it's only about the parks.

News has dried up a bit recently.....LEGO announced that their store at Disneytown will be the largest in the world, though....at 1000sqm.

Hi, what they have said is correct, because Shanghai Village is not part of Shanghai Disneyland Resort or Disneytown. It's a part of the SITRZ, which encompasses Disney Resort as well as other facilities. We know that the SITRZ is opening in April, the Shanghai Village is opening in May, and the Disney Resort is opening in June.
Couple of news stories from today...
"Special passport to be available at Shanghai Disney Resort"
Source: http://www.shanghaidaily.com/metro/entertainment-and-culture/Special-passport-to-be-available-at-Shanghai-Disney-Resort/shdaily.shtmlVISITORS to the Shanghai Disney Resort will be able to collect stamps at different locations on an official passport as a souvenir, the management of the resort announced today.
The resort has entered into a multi-year alliance with Invengo Information Technology Co Ltd, who will be the exclusive provider of the Shanghai Disney Resort Magic Passport, the resort said.
“The passport will become an interactive experience for guests to enjoy in the park that also offers a special souvenir keepsake of their visit,” the resort said in a press release.
The radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology is embedded in the passport.
The passport will be available for purchase at opening. Guests will be able to experience the park and collect official stamps at selected passport locations that work exclusively with the passport.
Once guests have collected each of the stamps, they can receive a special stamp commemorating the completion of this experience. Guests will be able to keep this memento as a souvenir of their exciting adventures throughout Shanghai Disneyland.
The other story is about the "Shanghai Village" development which we (InternationalObserver, CarlySX and myself) discussed back in January and is part of SITRZ. The opening date for that development was announced as 19th May 2016.

I'm similarly confused. For others' benefit, here's the source: http://blogs.disney.com/insider/2016/03/09/with-99-days-until-opening-go-inside-the-shanghai-disney-resort/
Delays in firming up local government regulations are causing a delay in the provision of local third-party hotels & B&Bs in the vicinity of Shanghai Disney Resort. There's not much choice at present...

I don't recall seeing the below images posted before...
Source: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/look-inside-shanghai-disney-resort-7516428
SITRZ are recruiting 700 volunteers to "help maintain order, give directions, assist disabled tourists and serve as interpreters for foreigners".
It's interesting to note that SITRZ is opening at the end of April - I hadn't previously realised this. Not sure if this includes the Disneyland metro station but I would imagine so. The article linked below states that the volunteers will be required at Disney park entrances and exits on weekends and public holidays - presumably not before the opening of the actual resort in June?!

Shanghai Disney is demolishing temporary and other (hazardous) buildings in the vicinity of the resort.
Maybe MarcoDisney will get his unspoilt view from the hotel after all!!

We’ll really be looking forward to the initial reception, but at the same time we build these parks for generations. We won’t judge where we are a week out, a month out, or even a year or two out.
Clearly we are planting an important flag for the Disney brand in China. We want to make sure people recognize the quality of what we provide. And hopefully it will be an aspirational kind of experience for people in China the same way it has been aspirational for people here. And therefore it represents the brand in a way that is broader than just that individual park.Tom Staggs on Shanghai Disneyland. This is a very long-term proposition, so what’s going on in the economy at any given moment is not a big concern for us. We look at the trends over the long term and continue to be as bullish as we’ve ever been in terms of the number of income-qualified people, the prospect for continued growth of the middle class in China, etc.
