The fact that Merlin claimed this park could have opened in 2020 if it wasn't for Coronavirus I think is very funny. The images and videos they are showing now make me question if they can even open next year! I know LEGOLAND's go up quickly because they are all essentially clones of each other but they look nowhere near any milestone I would expect with less than a year to go!

The World's largest snow park is due to open this year.

The attraction will span across a huge 125,000 sq ft area, divided into distinct whimsical zones. We can look forward to themed-character and 13 thrilling rides and attractions co-conceived by Al Farwaniya Property Developers, Majid Al Futtaim Ventures and Thinkwell. It doesn’t matter if the weather outside is frightful. The park will be kept at a rosy-nosed -2ºC, with a 500mm covering of snow (more than enough for beefy snowball building) offering a year-round chill spot in this, our beloved land of the eternal sun.
The enchanted-forest themed Snow Abu Dhabi is scheduled for completion in the last part of this year, and it’s being trailed as ‘the world’s largest snow park’.

Construction is well underway at its location inside the USD1.2billon Reem Mall project, on Reem Island which is set to open around the same time.

Has anyone heard anything about this project recently? I can't find much that is recent and all Saudi Arabia projects seem to be very, very quiet at the moment.

The most recent things I can find are concept art and layouts which don't seem all that new but haven't been shared here before.

The project is located in the Qiddiya region, southwest of the city of Riyadh, one hour away from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, and the project will serve as the capital of entertainment, culture and arts
The city will also contain a number of records that will break records, such as:
    * The fastest roller coaster in the world
    * The tallest landing tower (Drop Tower) in the world
    * The largest amusement park in the world

Both Dartford and Gravesham councils have raised serious concerns regarding the "lack of detail" and the proposed timescales for the project. These initial observations were submitted in a series of letters sent to the Secretary of State and published as part of its scoping opinion last month.

Dartford council noted the scoping report represented an "initial stage" and said their comments had been provided to assist the developers on "some of the more localised issues".
Dan Bramwell of the Peninsula Management Group – which represents over 100 businesses and landowners on the Swanscombe Peninsula – said they were yet to hear directly from the theme park bosses. He said: "As far as all the parties on the industrial estates are concerned, there has been very little progress made in addressing the future needs of the businesses or negotiating with landowners.

"It is now well over two years since there was last any meaningful dialogue between London Resort and Peninsula Management Group, contrary to what the developer says."

Disneyland Paris resumed it's direct train service from London today using Eurostar. Up until today travelers from London had to disembark in Paris and take local train services to the resort.

There are still permits being filed for works on the site but noone knows if they are just being filed because they provide long term permission or if work will still go ahead. Most people inside the business seem to think that infrastructure work will go ahead still and decisions then made on whether to proceed with the build.

There have been 19 permits filed with the county for the Epic Universe site in the last two weeks, including many for buildings in the central hub, park entry area, and Universal Monsters land. Additional permits for backstage areas and the in-park hotel have been posted as well.

Construction on Tron Lightcycle at Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom is still continuing.

Construction on the upcoming new TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction at the Magic Kingdom has steadily continued since the park reopened. We raced to the queue of The Barnstormer to get a view of the latest construction updates. It seems like each time we visit, more and more is completed with this build.
