Australia's Luna Park is to get a $30m renovation including new children's rides and a new rollercoaster.

Nine new rides will be built at Sydney's famous Luna Park next year under a $30 million overhaul, as the NSW government urges tourism operators to invest in attractions to help the state recover from the coronavirus crisis. The historic park, which opened at Milsons Point on Sydney Harbour in 1935, will close for six months from the end of January in 2021 to allow the installation of six children's rides and a new "Big Dipper" roller-coaster.

Eight of the new rides, which also include a "family coaster" and a "thrill ride", will be open for the school holidays next July. They will replace existing rides, including the Spider, in the children's section. The new Big Dipper, which will replace the Tumblebug scrambler ride in the Midway section of the park, is expected to be operating by November or December 2021.

A new aquarium planned for Florida.

Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in Sarasota secured a total of $5 million from Manatee County’s tourism taxes to help pay for the organization’s new Science Education Aquarium at Nathan Benderson Park.

Tuesday morning’s approval came more than a year after the Sarasota-based research aquarium asked the Manatee Board of County Commissioners to provide $15 million in funding toward the 1-million gallon facility. The board voted 6-1 to approve a much lower annual contribution of $1 million for five years.
Commissioners have debated the allocation for several months, with some arguing that the funds would be better spent within county lines. While tourism taxes are collected from fees attached to hotel and short-term rentals, the funds cannot be spent on construction outside of Manatee County. The Mote SEA will be built in Sarasota County, just south of the county line, and is expected to cost around $130 million.

The Art of Marvel update on the hotel is coming along nicely.

Testing in progress tonight at Disney’s Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel on a second red LED strip for the front facade, and a new white light box on top of a “tower”. When complete, the red and white reflections on Lake Disney should look impressive!

Can anyone translate the areas, please? I think the areas are listed below but not sure which one corresponds to which map area.

Springtime of Life Hill (or Youth Hill): This area will be based on Howl’s Moving Castle and host a giant steampunk elevator, which will allow guests a view of the whole land. This area will allegedly be around the entrance of the park and contain lots of 19th century-inspired accents. It will also feature some inspiration from Whisper of the Heart, specifically the buildings inspired by the antique shop featured in the movie.

Dondoko Forest Area: The My Neighbor Totoro-inspired area will feature a replica of Mei and Satsuki’s house from the movie, in a lush rural landscape from the movie. There will be walking tours and paths planned in this area, which is designed to take a lot of the existing infrastructure of the area into account.
Ghibli Large Warehouse Area: Designed to be accessible any time of year, regardless of weather, this large indoor area featuring Japanese and Western-style buildings will host the dining locations, shops, playing areas, and exhibition spaces. There will be a dining area here inspired by Spirited Away.

Mononoke’s Village Area: Dedicated to Princess Mononoke, this area will house a replica of Irontown and evoke the Muromachi period (1336-1573) that inspired the film. It’s also going to house giant sculptures of the movie’s spirits and creatures. This is one of the locations opening in 2023.

Witches’ Valley Area: Inspired by both Kiki’s Delivery Service and Howl’s Moving Castle, this area will include a small amusement park, as well as a replica of Kiki’s parents’ house and Howl’s castle. This is the other location opening in 2023.
The park is still slated for a 2022 opening, though word’s out on whether that has been delayed due to coronavirus-related lockdowns. Three of the five areas (Springtime of Life Hill, Ghibli Warehouse, and Dondoko Forest) are supposed to begin construction in 2020 and open in 2022, with the remaining two areas beginning construction in 2021 and opening in 2023.

The Belgian coast park Plopsaland De Panne aims to build a new thrilling roller coaster. Plopsaland will invest 15 million euros for this purpose.
This is an impressive Xtreme Spinning Coaster , developed by the German specialist company Mack Rides . The boss of the Plopsa group , Steve Van den Kerkhof , was seen in the summer of 2019 in Silver Dollar City in the United States, where Time Traveler , the first and only example of the Xtreme Spinning Coaster, was built . The project was finally officially announced by Steve Van den Kerkhof on September 24th.
It will be installed between the Piet Pirate area and the Plop Garden . The 920-meter-long course with a maximum height of 33 meters will include, among other things, two magnetic catapults as well as five reversal figures, including a loop and a banana roll. The expected train speed is 90 km / h. The advertised capacity is between 600 and 700 people per hour.

A Puy Du Fou Park is planned for China opening in 2022.

After its successful launch in Spain, Puy du Fou is turning to China, whose historical and cultural wealth offers, for its shows, an immense source of inspiration. The Puy du Fou hopes to inaugurate its first Chinese spectacle in 2022, at the foot of the Great Wall , the country's most emblematic monument, known worldwide.
It is in Qinhuangdao, opposite the Great Wall , that the Puy du Fou has chosen a particularly spectacular site, imbued with poetry and mystery. The city government has already given its agreement to the creation of a great night show signed by the Puy du Fou on the model of Cinéscénie (France) or El Sueño de Toledo (Spain). The first phase of this project also includes a themed hotel, a large restaurant-show and a period village.
On the occasion of the President of the Republic's trip to China, the Puy du Fou signs a contract to create this great show at the foot of the Chinese Wall . The total budget for this project is 230 million euros.
