Hopefully 2022 will be a progressive year for this project!

I'm still doubtful of this project but also very hopeful. Hopefully this new timescale works out. This year should be full of a lot of news.

These buildings look pretty close together, not a lot of room, could become a pinch point on busy days.

Great pictures, shame there’s not a better close up though of cars rally, the station and the two new set pieces.

Park looks a little on the small side.

They just seem to have spent the past year occasionally moving soil around

With the announcement of mass investment at the Disneyland in California I’m more hopeful now that we won’t see a huge pause on the lake at Walt Disney Studios Park.

That’s a shame, would have been cool to see it built near Disneyland Paris. Maybe force Disney to step up their game there a bit.

It would appear that they are not in any current plans. I do wonder if the original intention was to use it for an avenger stunt show and cost cutting has put paid to that however I’m not too sure. Long term wise I hope they are at least knocked down and replaced with a new ride or attraction.

I assume they are using the soil that is removed from the studios park lake.

No reason they can't come up with a new Star Wars ride for Paris though.

Thanks for translating. I do think talk of Galaxy’s Edge as a flop are a bit premature. I think most were waiting for Rise of the Resistance to be completed before visiting and then COVID hit. Once theme parks are operating normally again I expect attendance to be up in the parks with Galaxy’s Edge.

Rise though clearly has massive problems and I don't expect to see it built anywhere else.

Smugglers Run has been immediately excluded because of the several languages spoken in Europe.
Is there a link to this? A site comparing them etc? I've seen blueprints but not ones comparing layouts etc and had only heard rumours it would be RotR instead of Smugglers Run.

I believe this is for two reasons:
They are still in deals with BBC, ITV, Paramount, and as some people think, Universal.
Or the plan was to never build a park and to just build up some hype so the public accepts it, then ditch the park and become a leisure facility!

Hopefully we can get some vague details about the actual rides soon.
My concern all along has been that there is no intention to build the theme park and instead we get the central plaza with some additional leisure.

I strongly hope this isn't the case and they are trying to be vague with the theme park stuff to keep secrets.

I hope there’s another significant set piece on the cars tram tour to go alongside catastrophe canyon however I suspect it will just be a random placing of cars characters around the route.

Also I imagine the Route 66 tour is going to be pretty isolated for quite some time in that section of the park.

Firstly the budget is nothing like Disneyland Paris.
Secondly the IP - Paramount owns little to nothing in popular IP and
    Thirdly - quality!

The team of the London resort are all financial based people and all of their rides will be imagined by outside companies such as legacy entertainment, I am sick of this company saying they are making a theme park. To be honest it’s more likely that it will end up like a blank shopping centre or small un-themed amusement park.

And finally to add on to the long list of negatives it simply has no financial backing, Disney has plenty but what does the resort have? Investors from a totally different country! Nether the less it would be brilliant to see this go ahead but what is there to actually talk about? There has been no public releases or proper progress for months even years other than some ever changing concept art!
Whilst I agree with a lot of what you are saying and I’m very sceptical that a theme park will ever get built there I have to point out that Paramount isn’t the only IP signed on for the park. The have deals with BBC, ITV and Aardman. Not exactly anything I’m frilled about but it’s worth noting.

My main concern is that very little is known about the financial backers of the park. It appears to just be Middle East investors rather than a single company with substantial investment.

My guess is that the first phase will be a train station, hotels, apartments and leisure. Then the Theme Park will never happen.

    I hope I’m wrong.

Trying not to be a negative nanny again but I’ve done some digging on the Paramount parks announced for China and Korea. Firstly does anyone know if the same people are involved at all three parks? The concept art is remarkably similar.

Secondly construction work has started in Korea but only on the accommodation, arena and some leisure facilities. The theme park is not expected to start yet for at least a year and a half. I can’t help but wonder if the same will happen in the UK one and then the theme park will not materialise as funds will dry up.

Well dissected and backs up my fears about the whole project. I just don’t think the site itself is suitable the project to start with. Don’t see if getting off the ground at all and I don’t believe there was ever any intention to do so.

It’s a strange one. It was never officially announced, just appeared on the art work, now the rumours are strong that it’s been axed, and that was before COVID-19. I always found it an odd one but it has DLP written all over.

Would create a large Pixar land on that side with Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Ratatouille and Cars mini lands.
Excellent idea but sadly I've heard nothing of it and doubt we will see that.
