Spartan Race, a Family Boomerang coaster by Vekoma, has finally opened at the park. The ride moved from the adjacent Vinpearl Land before it closed. Interestingly, they kept the dolphin-themed coaster train design:

Kind of a sad sight to see - recent photos from a blogpost showing low crowds at the newly opened Chongqing Sunac Cultural Tourism City during the Chinese New Year celebrations, which are usually when the biggest crowds are seen at theme parks.

Yesterday, February 24, the government in Shenzhen released the masterplan for Legoland Shenzhen and the surrounding area. As you can see in the masterplan, there is three gates plus a retail, dining, and entertainment area in the middle. The gate on the left (also the largest) is Legoland Shenzhen. Certain themed areas of the park can already be identified including Lego Castle, Miniland, and Lego City. The gate on the bottom right is clearly Legoland Water Park. The gate on the top right is more mysterious - at least one of the roller coasters shown in the layout looks quite large and no theme is indicated. Perhaps the entire layout of the top right gate is placeholder.
