On March 10 a contract was signed for the infrastructure construction of Robot Land in Incheon. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2027 and "a robot theme park and commercial and business facilities supporting the industrial complex will also be built."

The Incheon Metropolitan City government has announced plans to revive Robot Land and start construction in March 2025. "Theme park" is mentioned in the announcement, but it is very unlikely that a full scale theme park like the original plan is a part of the latest version of this development.

The Incheon government has shared an updated plan for Robot Land - to develop a complex dedicated to the robotics industry that is "not focused on amusement facilities". The plan is for the business and research-oriented Robot Land to start construction in 2022 and be completed in 2024. The new concept art shows an area on the right that appears to be robot-related exhibits/pavilions which will probably be the closest thing to an attraction at Robot Land.

The Korean government is voting on whether to approve changes that would potentially lead to Robot Land being developed but for more business use than entertainment, with the theme park possibly being completely replaced by small, indoor educational robot exhibits.
In the photo at the top of the post, a new layer of dirt is being placed over the site in case construction commences.

I work in one of the finished buildings, so this is probably most up to date information.
The plan has been reduced dramatically just like any other ambitious Korean government projects. The size of the theme park is decreased significantly, and even the allocated land (163,174m squared) is now shared with a hotel, healing zone (probably spa complex), a water park, plaza, and a pavilion. Not sure if there will be a theme park built with good ride elements. Even concept art (second photo) does not include any rides. Some rumor was they are planning to build something like Wolmi Amusement Park which is just a park with carnival rides like the swing boat. I am hoping for a dark ride in the park, but neither city nor investors are interested in this project anymore.
Two robot theme-park plans were launched in 2008... Unfortunately you can see Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land alone.
I work in a company located in 'Robot Land' tower. Only building finished for the Robot Land plan are the tower and the research center. The satellite photo posted by Sebastian on 22nd Feb 2018 is not a correct photo. Nothing is being built on the planned land space: not even a base. You can check photo I have attached. The robotland tower is on google map. link: https://goo.gl/maps/BFzBJn2x9Z22 The themepark will be built on the North of the building
I have talked with Incheon city officials, and they told me they won't be able to start any time soon. They even mentioned the plans to decrease size of the park to a point that it is just a park with some playground elements. I really hope that does not happen, but the city cannot find sponsors and the place is too windy for a large roller coaster structures.
