Genting (Resorts World) has left the project and the park is now called 'Jeju Shinhwa World'.

There seems to be little to no progress on the theme park itself but the resort as a whole is progressing

Seems they have sold their shares to the other existing shareholder though so looks like the project will still go ahead but not necessarily under the Genting licensed name.

Genting Singapore has sold it share in the US$1.8bn Resorts World Jeju integrated casino project destined for Jeju Island in South Korea to its long-term partner in the project; Landing International for $420m.

No announcement has yet be made on whether the project will retain its original name of Resorts World Jeju, which is a brand owned and developed by Genting.

Construction of the theme park has been temporarily suspended after a major structure collapse at the site that injured eight workers.

It's been a while, but now Genting Singapore is up for Jeju bet.

Genting Singapore Plc, operator of the Resorts World Sentosa casino resort in Singapore, says it is increasing the cash contribution in its equity investment in a South Korea casino project.
