    The new RWJ, when fully ready by 2019 (...). Resorts World Jeju is five times bigger than its Singapore counterpart
    and comprises a foreigners-only casino, a family theme park, a water park, themed retail and food complexes, hotels and a destination spa.

    Mostly catering to the Chinese, it will not only include a casino but theme parks and streets inspired by the myths and history of cultures including Persia, the Inca Empire and Egypt. Experts on each region’s myths, history and culture are giving input on the park’s plans.

    Officiating at the ceremony, Mr. Won Hee-Ryong, Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province said that he welcomed RWJ to be a partner of Jeju and that he would fully support RWJ to ensure the project can be successfully progressed.

    Building permit obtained for the construction of Resorts World Jeju.

    The Company has obtained building permits for part of the site in the project covering a gross floor area of 306,763 square meters of the project, which will be developed into a gaming and integrated resort - “Resorts World Jeju” comprising premium hotels, villa hotel, conferencing and exhibition facilities, gaming facility, theme park, large-scale shopping mall and other entertainment and tourism facilities etc. Building permits have also been secured for another part of the site covering a gross floor area of 132,265 square meters, which will be used for building condominiums, villas, bungalows and other accommodation facilities.

    Genting Singapore Plc, Southeast Asia’s largest casino operator by market value, will develop a casino resort on South Korea’s Jeju island to target Chinese bettors. The $2.2 billion project will be jointly built with Hong Kong-listed Chinese property company Landing International Development Ltd.
