Finally some theming for the PortAventura water park!

On the acuatic park, all is ready to start, maybe we can see it on 2013 season opening ...

The Acuatic Park will grow in 2013, there are many options but there were rumours of a new big atracction and a family area.

Thanks @tronik6! Thought about it, will rename the thread from 'Barcelona World' to 'PortAventura expansion' and keep it open!

I'm sorry guys, latest infos confirm that Barcelona World seems not related to any ride, so it will not be a theme park, only a themed complex with services.
The Admin can close this thread if necessary.

By the way, PortAventura in 2013 is going to open a new area (still undefined) behind the new Shambhala and the Aquatic Park also gets bigger with a new family zone.

Sorry for the noise but some newspapers, blogs and TVs have been talking about "Theme Parks" for Barcelona World...

How would six theme parks sustain themselves? I really think they are talking about six casino resorts. The word 'theme park' tends to be overused in connection with leisure/entertainment projects.

I still thinking that there are enough land to build 6 new themed areas (connected parks), just take a look on this pictures and compare with the whole dimension of actual PortAventura, what did you think now? ...

There aren't enought information to know if it will be a theme park or not... The press only talks about hotels, casinosm convention centers, shopping centers. Moreover there aren't enought ground to build 6 theme parks. However this project can help to develop the movie park of PortAventura that it was project since 1992

Today inside the blue area there is PortAventura theme park, the Acuatic Park, and 2 huge hotels with big resorts, also there's extra space for 2 more theme parks (Masterplan1) not yet build. You can see all this in my previous attached picture of the Masterplan 2.

In my opinion there's enoughspace in the new area for 6 parks, but it seems that will be 1 park with 6 themed areas interconnected.
