Renaissance Services has also leased a 10,000 sq metre plot for the development of a leisure facility that includes restaurants and swimming pool.

The project, which will span 128.23ha, will be constructed in three five-year phases, with $259.7m (OMR100m) allocated for the development of the first phase. The F1 themepark looks like it's back on in Dubai. The planned park was previously stopped due to a feasibility study showing the park was not a good investment during the financial crisis.
