Bulgaria's biggest waterpark is due to open this summer. Slightly odd as it's been designed, built and installed by a single supplier.

Currently under construction, the ‘Neptune’ aqua park near Sozopol is on track to open this summer.

Arihant Water Park Equipment has designed the park as well as manufacturing and installing all the water attractions. The park features 16 slides, as well as a 16-platform water play structure. To ensure it offers something for all ages, the attractions mix includes family float slides, body slides and closed slides, as well as multi-racer slide and kiddie slides.

Yesterday, April 21, 2017, one of two major expansions to Universal Studios Japan had its grand opening! Minion Park, the first area at a Universal Stuidos theme park themed entirely to the Despicable Me movie franchise was announced back in October 2016 and the cost of the expansion was 10 billion yen (almost $100 million USD). The area features one main ride with many gift shops and eateries.

During a scheduled press event this morning,*SeaWorld Orlando*announced an all-new river rapids ride coming to the park in 2018. Infinity Falls will take passengers on a ride through a lost jungle river, winding around waterfalls, fountains, and the remains of an ancient civilization. To get your adrenaline pumping, the ride will send you flying through chutes before a 40-foot plunge down the tallest drop of its kind. After landing in the churning whitewater below, the ride takes you through Harmony Village to end on a message of inspiration and illustrate the connection to the world’s rivers.
A unique vertical elevator will lift riders before the dramatic launch down the 40-foot waterfall.
Infinity Falls will be the centerpiece of a new themed area that will fully immerse guests in a rainforest canopy. After taking the plunge down Infinity Falls, guests can explore the area and take part in interactive activities to learn about freshwater ecosystems.

The ride replaces what is now the 'Sea Garden' which is located between Nautilus Theater and Shamu Stadium

In addition to Ferrari Land opening at PortAventura, two major attractions opened at American theme parks in the past week:

On April 7, the new wooden roller coaster "Invadr" opened at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. While in development, Busch Gardens marketed this as the world's first "crowdsourced ride" in which the public voted on the ride's name, logo, etc.

On April 6, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, a new 3D motion-simulator ride, opened at Universal Studios in Orlando. This is Universal Orlando Resort's first ride with a "virtual queue" in which the guests pick a time frame to enter the ride and while they're waiting they can walk around to browse displays, play games and watch live entertainment.
