Disneyland Paris just reopened Pirates of the Carribean after a big refurbishment and it looks so much better with new scenes and visual effects. They also refurbished the restaurant associated with the ride and revamped the pirates' area of the park.

Walibi Belguim announced a huge overhaul for the next 4 years which will transform the park.

Starting as of next year, more than 100 million Euros will be invested in the renovation and expansion of the park, transforming 75 percent of the total premises. This includes not only the creation of new attractions but also the re-theming of existing park areas.
2018 will see the opening of a new family coaster at the park, while the Aqualibi waterpark will be expanded by the addition of a 700 square meter large water playground for young visitors. In 2019, the other park areas are planned to be re-themed, including the addition of a new interactive indoor family attraction, a coaster targeted at children as well as a restaurant. In the following year, the renovation of the park’s Western theme area is planned. The re-construction measures will culminate in the year 2021 with the opening of a thrilling major rollercoaster that will be located in an all-new theme area at the park. Construction and transformation measures at the park will be completed in 2022/23.

LEGOLAND Windsor has filed planning permission for a large expansion including new hotels, parking, and attractions opening in 2019.

Legoland Windsor Resort have submitted a major planning application seeking permission for eight projects, including four new rides, a holiday village (to be built in three phases), an extension to ‘The Beginning’ which includes an extension to the ‘Big Shop’, and a reconfiguration of the car parking.
The park is currently extremely limited on visitor volume due to its parking facilities so this, along with the expansion of the park, should massively increase its ability to attract more visitors.

A permit has been filed to add Ratatouille ride to France Pavilion at EPCOT.

According to the permit (which can be downloaded in full here), the area inside the red outline totals 5.70 acres. Currently, 1.10 acres are paved, 0.31 acres are occupied by buildings (mostly trailers), and 4.29 acres are “pervious” area which is either dirt or landscaping.

The plans are to pave an additional 2.94 acres of the current “pervious” area and build retention ponds on the other side of Avenue of the Stars (the service road that circles World Showcase) to hold the additional runoff from the added impervious area. Several buildings will also be removed, but some additional buildings will be built to replace them.

The new wooden coaster coming to Alton Towers is making good progress

One of the most striking developments over the past couple of weeks has been the continued emergence of the metal framework at the Mutiny Bay end of the site for what is thought to be a large theming feature. Within the metal framework, wooden bents have been installed for the three times the track will pass through the structure.

Elsewhere on the site, extensive excavations have been carried out as work continues on the foundations for the rest of the track’s layout.
