Roaring Timbers, Vietnam's first wooden roller coaster, officially opened today, February 1, at Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park!

Reaching a height of 32.4 meters, a maximum speed of 80km/h and generating more than 3.5 vertical g-force during it’s exhilarating 890 meter course around the tropical hillside terrain; ”Roaring Timbers features fourteen hills and fourteen exciting crossovers that pass over or under another section of track, making this one of the most twisted wooden pieces of art in the world”, said Brad Loxley, Sun World Group Chief Operating Officer.

Roaring Timbers is the first attraction of Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park’s Exotica expansion, and will be joined by a further two new attractions opening later in 2022.

Chessington World of Adventures in the UK has just had its planning permission approved for its new land.

Project Amazon is a go! Planning permission has today been GRANTED for Chessington to proceed with the construction of a brand-new themed land!

The project, set to include three new rides, including a brand-new roller coaster attraction is planned to open in 2023. The new roller coaster is well needed. It is the first new coaster at the park since Dragon’s Fury in 2004. The ride is a Wing Coaster model, expected to be built by roller coaster manufacturer B&M. Featuring multiple launches and a boomerang layout. The ride is the first of its kind for the manufacturer.

Alongside the new roller coaster, there will be two other rides. One is a Miami type ride and the other is a small children’s carousel type attraction. The area will also feature heavy theming. Including a large themed structure that lays within the layout of the new roller coaster. Other large theming statues and themed pathing and planting complete the area.

Legacy Entertainment has been announced as Entertainment Consultant for a new San Francisco-sized city currently under construction near Jakarta, Indonesia. Destinations and attractions currently being designed and built include a 'Floating City' next generation retail mall and 'Food Theme Park'.

Busch Gardens Adventure Island is adding several new developments for 2022. This includes a new racing saucer slide called Rapids Racer, a new entrance area, a sandy beach lounge area by the wave pool, and new lighting and music to Wahoo family raft slide.

Opening in 2022, the Battersea Power Station Chimney Lift is set to be a one-of-a-kind experience, taking you to the top of the North West chimney for unrivalled 360-degree views of London’s skyline and a truly unique perspective back down onto the historic landmark.

Set to become one of the most exciting viewing platforms in the capital, with views that include both the Shard and London Eye, the glass Chimney Lift will hold up to 30 visitors and be available to the public as well as for private events.

Before venturing into the Chimney Lift, visitors will also be able to experience a state-of-the-art immersive exhibition in Turbine Hall A, which celebrates the Grade II* listed building’s history and cultural influence.
