Roller coaster at Dubai Hills Mall opening in 2022

A new attraction to join the other Merlin brands in Blackpool, UK.

A new £2.3m attraction based round a popular children’s character is set to open on Blackpool Promenade next summer after council chiefs gave the go ahead to the deal.

Merlin, which already operates Blackpool Tower, the Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds in the resort, is set to transform part of the council-owned Golden Mile Centre into the new attraction. Precise details of the scheme are being kept under wraps while property rights are agreed – but it is set to be an exclusive brand to Blackpool when it first opens.

I don't think they can do Peppa Pig because the IP belongs to another park in the UK but I can't see them opening another Shrek's Adventure? Any ideas?

Zoological parks all around the world are looking at ways to diversify from their historically animal-centric exhibits. For several operators, this includes the addition of theme park style attractions, including dark rides and boat rides. This Omnimover dark ride design tracks a caravan of elephants as they journey through harsh elements.

'River of Time' is a unique dark ride design from Legacy Entertainment. Conceptualized for one of the world's leading zoological theme parks, the attraction combined animatronic displays alongside expansive habitats for living creatures.

Legacy Entertainment recently collaborated with the government body of Harbin, China to create a year-round permanent exhibition on the site of the world famous Harbin Ice Festival. Organized into three fully-enclosed dome facilities, visitors could experience past, future, and fantasy depictions of the city of Harbin.
