Plopsaland De Panne recently announced 'The Ride to Happiness', a new roller coaster attraction being designed in collaboration with Tomorrowland- Europe's largest music festival creator.

This is not the first time the world of theme park design and music festivals have overlapped. In 2013, Legacy Entertainment was approached by Insomniac's Pasqualle Rotella about transforming the company's signature 'Electric Daisy Carnival' event in Las Vegas into a theatrical experience, complete with immersive sets, giant animatronic figures, and puppets.

This event marked the debut of Insomniac's giant robotic owl which has since made appearances at EDC New York, EDC Orlando, and EDC Mexico.

Al Barakah International Investment, developer of Al Qana in Abu Dhabi, has revealed the latest progress of its much-anticipated waterfront social dining and entertainment destination.

As promised and despite the challenges, the construction of the project in on schedule and is currently 90 per cent complete.

The waterfront destination spanning an area of 2.4 km, forms Al Qana. Visitors will be able to access state-of-the art facilities including The National Aquarium, The Bridge Wellness and Lifestyle Hub, Cinemacity Al Qana, Pixel (E-Sports and gaming hub) and exciting dining and entertainment activities for families and children.

Al Qana also reported new milestones achieved for a number of different areas of the project:

• 95 per cent of The National Aquarium, Middle East’s largest aquarium is completed
• 85 per cent of Al Qana Cinema construction work is completed
• 85 per cent of landscaping is completed
• Food & Beverage outlets gearing up to take handover of their units
• The Marina and its 100 berths are 100 per cent installed
• 85 per cent of The Bridge Wellness hub construction work is completed

Several years ago, the park's owners collaborated with Legacy Entertainment on an exercise to look at ways in which the classic oceanfront theme park might be reimagined. As part of this, a wide variety of architectural styles were developed for the main midway, as seen below. In the end, the selected option was a promenade comprised solely of beloved 'lost' architecture of San Diego buildings and structures which no longer exist.

In addition to the 'Animal Empire' park seen previously, China's DingLong / Loong Bay resort is also planning a large marine life park.

This was first proposed in 2018, and at that time this would have been true. Wales Online are the ones with outdated info.

That is correct, LEGOLAND Windsor is building this as we speak. It just shows how well people are doing their research.
