Hetzel Design has shared designs done for SeaWorld Orlando that are dated October 2017. This was soon after Zhonghong became involved in the company and perhaps when they were planning to put money into improving the parks.
This is Hetzel Design's description of the project:
Notice that the description mentions phasing out marine mammal shows in general, not specifically killer whales. Regarding the concept art, Infinity Falls and Sesame Street Land can be seen but as you continue around the park that is where the design becomes drastically different. Instead of the under construction Ice Breaker coaster, a larger launch coaster is seen with the station directly in front of Wild Arctic and instead of the coaster heading towards Bayside Stadium it instead heads along and over the central lake almost to Mako. The coaster's color and train design resembles that of Wave Breaker at SeaWorld San Antonio.Hetzel Design assisted the Sea World at turbulent times. Faced with negative publicity stemming from “the Black Fish” movie, the Sea World was having hard time making public aware of its massive environmental conservation and protection efforts. We were part of a major park overhaul, which included phasing out of the marine mammal shows, and introduction of other, media based attractions that promoted animal health and ocean protection. A lot of great work went into this effort, but stays confidential to this date. A gateway hotel was also envisioned as a major entry statement.
The area around Bayside Stadium features rockwork with a tropical/oceanic theme. An underwater submarine ride of sorts is seen with a large building (potentially a ride building) in the back replacing what is currently the ride area for Ice Breaker and Sea Harbor Pavilions (special event area).
A large hotel, event venue, and new entrance area replace what is currently the entrance area and part of the parking lot.
The majority if not all of the expansion plans are not current so I am just sharing for interest:
