MAPS to open in Q2 of this year according to Perak State Development Corp.

The much awaited Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) in Bandar Meru Raya, the first in Asia, will finally opened its doors in the second quarter of this year. Perak State Development Corporation (PSDC) chief executive Datuk Aminudduin Md Desa said the project is in the final stages of completion and ready for operation.

It was supposed to kick-start in October last year but was postponed to a later date.

Does anybody know where the 10-Inversion Coaster will be located?

After being quiet these past few months, Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir urged Perak State Development Corporation to give the public an update on the park's construction progress.

“PKNP just informed me recently that work is still underway and progressing smoothly. There are no major problems, it is just that the completion date may be delayed slightly,” Zambry told reporters.

He said the delay is primarily due to safety concerns, as the developers, wish to ensure that the park’s facilities are safe for public use.

So they are being very quiet on opening dates and a lot of people are starting to complain about their "early bird ticket sales" and the year passes they have already sold.

Looks like it's set for a 2017 opening.

If that is the case, when will it open?

To keep your good selves posted on MAPS development, we are in the final stages of development and will be opening our doors to public soon. There has been a slight rescheduling to MAPS opening as MAPS has added a few additional enhancements to the attraction. We will keep everyone posted.
