This is the first time I have heard about an opening date. MAPS are doing a lot of twitter activity and answering a lot of questions posed by potential guests.

MAPS are ramping up the promotional activity and seem to be getting close to announcing an official launch date as they attract people to the site even before they get the park open.

A special event called My Dream Carnival is also being organised by Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) and will be held the weekend of Feb 27 and 28, 2016 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, at the site surrounding the theme park in Persiaran Meru Raya 3, Ipoh, Perak.

The My Dream Carnival will also coincide with the official ticket launch for Movie Animation Park Studios Perak and ticket promotions will be offered for a limited period.

Ticket infos will be launched officially during the My Dream Carnival on Feb 27 to 28.
Pre-opening ticket promotions will be available for a limited time only.

Perak state MyKad holders can buy annual Perak tickets at RM180 for adults, with a complimentary ticket for every 3 tickets purchased.

For non-Perak residents, the same promo is offered but at RM280 for adults.

Single day passes for adults are charged at RM155, offering one complimentary ticket.

MAPS have been ramping up the PR, recruitment has started in earnest and they have had an official launch in London (see Video) and yet no opening date to be found. Can't even find a month, only 2016 so far.

The only date I can find anywhere is from this blog which states it as March 2016 which sounds a little too soon by construction standards seen in the last video but this is from April 2015 so hardly up to date! I do find it strange that there isn't a date as yet considering the PR around the site.
