I can spot three, maximum four theme parks on it. One with lots of water (on the left), a major outdoor park in the middle and an indoor/outdoor combo park on the right.
Just contemplating... Meraas is a government-owned holding company, right? So was Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding. Tatweer at some point simply disappeared together with all its liabilities. Now there is Meraas stepping in, announcing a theme park cluster for Dubai once again... The guys behind Meraas = the guys behind Tatweer with a new 'clean' entity?

Source:(News) Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, has approved the building of a 30 million square feet leisure and entertiainment destination in Dubai. To be developed by Meraas Holiding, the property will be built near Jebel Ali and will contain five theme parks. A total investment of some 2.1bn Euros is forseen for the project. Central to the new amusement destination will be the Dubai Adventure Studios. The studios will focus on Hollywood movies as a theme and offer multiple rides.
Another part of the park will feature Indian Bollywood cinema as a theme and will be developed in partnership with studios in Mumbai, India. A third part will feature water and land-based wildlife, including animal encouters and live shows. Another park will be specifically developed for young children up to primary school age. Developers expect the park to attract some 16 million visitors each year and will have a first section open by 2014.
